Ḥā, Meem.1
46:2
تَنز ِيلُ
(The) revelation
(of) the Book
مِنَ
(is) from
Allah
the All-Mighty
the All-Wise
The revelation of the Book is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
46:3
مَا
Not
خَلَقۡ نَا
We created
the heavens
وَٱ لۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
وَمَا
and what
بَيۡنَهُمَآ
(is) between both of them
إِلَّا
except
بِٱ لۡحَقِّ
in truth
وَأَجَلٍ
and (for) a term
appointed
But those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieve
عَمّ َآ
from what
أُنذ ِرُواۡ
they are warned
مُعۡرِضُو نَ
٣(are) turning away
We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away.
46:4
قُلۡ
Say
أَرَءَيۡتُم
Do you see
what
تَدۡ عُونَ
you call
مِن
besides
besides
Allah
أَرُونِى
Show me
مَاذَا
what
خَلَقُواۡ
they have created
مِنَ
of
the earth
أَمۡ
or
لَهُمۡ
for them
شِرۡكٌ
(is) any share
in
the heavens
Bring me
بِكِتَـٰ بٍ
a book
from
before
هَـٰ ذَآ
this
أَوۡ
or
أَثَـٰ رَةٍ
a trace
of
عِلۡمٍ
knowledge
إِن
if
you are
صَـٰ دِقِي نَ
٤truthful
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allāh? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful."
46:5
وَمَنۡ
And who
أَضَلُّ
(is) more astray
مِمّ َن
than (he) who
calls
مِن
besides
besides
Allah
مَن
who
will not respond
يَسۡتَجِيبُ
will not respond
لَهُۥٓ
to him
إِلَىٰ
until
يَوۡمِ
(the) Day
(of) Resurrection
وَهُمۡ
and they
عَن
of
their calls
غَـٰ فِلُو نَ
٥(are) unaware
And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allāh those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection [i.e., never], and they, of their invocation, are unaware.
46:6
وَإِذَا
And when
حُشِرَ
are gathered
the people
كَانُواۡ
they will be
لَهُمۡ
for them
أَعۡدَا ٓءً
enemies
and they will be
بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ
of their worship
كَـٰ فِرِي نَ
٦deniers
And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.
46:7
وَإِذَا
And when
تُتۡلَىٰ
are recited
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
ءَايَـٰ تُنَا
Our Verses
بَيِّنَـٰ تٍ
clear
say
those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieve
لِلۡحَقِّ
of the truth
لَمّ َا
when
جَا ٓءَهُمۡ
it comes to them
هَـٰ ذَا
This
سِحۡرٌ
(is) a magic
clear
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is obvious magic."
46:8
أَمۡ
Or
يَقُولُونَ
they say
He has invented it
قُلۡ
Say
إِنِ
If
I have invented it
فَلَا
then not

anything
هُوَ
He
أَعۡلَمُ

بِمَا
of what
تُفِيضُونَ
you utter
فِيهِۖ
concerning it
كَفَىٰ
Sufficient is He
بِهِۦ
Sufficient is He
شَهِيدَۢا
(as) a Witness
between me
وَبَيۡنَكُمۡۖ
and between you
وَهُوَ
and He
(is) the Oft-Forgiving
the Most Merciful
Or do they say, "He has invented it"? Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allāh at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved.1 Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
46:9
قُلۡ
Say
مَا
Not
كُنت ُ
I am
بِدۡ عًا
a new (one)
among
the Messengers
وَمَآ
and not

is revealed
إِلَىَّ
to me
وَمَآ
and not
أَنَاۡ
I am
إِلَّا
but
نَذِيرٌ
a warner
clear
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers,1 nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
46:10
قُلۡ
Say
أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ
Do you see
إِن
if
it is
مِنۡ
from Allah
عِند ِ
from Allah
from Allah
وَكَفَرۡتُم
and you disbelieve
in it
وَشَهِدَ
and testifies
شَاهِدٌ
a witness
from
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرٰ ٓءِيلَ
(the) Children of Israel
عَلَىٰ
to
مِثۡلِهِۦ
(the) like thereof
فَـَٔـامَنَ
then he believed
وَٱ سۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡۖ
while you are arrogant
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
the people
the wrongdoers
Say, "Have you considered: if it [i.e., the Qur’ān] was from Allāh, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar1 and believed while you were arrogant...?"2 Indeed, Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.
