1 Surahs12 Versesركوع 364
33:9
يَـٰٓ أَيُّهَا
O you
who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
Remember
نِعۡمَةَ
(the) Favor
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
upon you
إِذۡ
when
جَا ٓءَتۡكُمۡ
came to you
جُنُودٌ
(the) hosts
and We sent
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
upon them
رِيحًا
a wind
and hosts
not
تَرَوۡهَاۚ
you (could) see them
وَكَانَ
And Allah is
And Allah is
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
بَصِيرًا
٩All-Seer
O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allāh upon you when armies came to [attack] you and We sent upon them a wind and armies [of angels] you did not see. And ever is Allāh, of what you do, Seeing.
33:10
إِذۡ
When
جَا ٓءُوكُم
they came upon you
from
above you
وَمِنۡ
and from
أَسۡفَلَ
below
مِنك ُمۡ
you
وَإِذۡ
and when
زَاغَتِ
grew wild
the eyes
وَبَلَغَتِ
and reached
the hearts
the throats
وَتَظُنّ ُونَ
and you assumed
بِٱ للَّهِ
about Allah
the assumptions
[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats, and you assumed about Allāh [various] assumptions.
33:11
هُنَالِكَ
There
were tried
the believers
وَزُلۡزِلُواۡ
and shaken
زِلۡزَالاً
(with a) shake
severe
There the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking.
33:12
وَإِذۡ
And when
يَقُولُ
said
the hypocrites
وَٱ لَّذِينَ
and those
فِى
in
قُلُوبِهِم
their hearts
(was) a disease
Not
وَعَدَنَا
Allah promised us
Allah promised us
وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ
and His messenger
إِلَّا
except
غُرُورًا
١٢delusion
And [remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease said, "Allāh and His Messenger did not promise us except delusion,"
33:13
وَإِذۡ
And when
قَالَت
said
طَّا ٓئِفَةٌ
a party
of them
يَـٰٓ أَهۡلَ
O People
يَثۡرِبَ
(of) Yathrib
لَا
No
مُقَامَ
stand
لَكُمۡ
for you
فَٱ رۡجِعُواۡۚ
so return
وَيَسۡتَــٔۡذِنُ
And asked permission
فَرِيقٌ
a group
of them
(from) the Prophet
يَقُولُونَ
saying
إِنّ َ
Indeed
بُيُوتَنَا
our houses
عَوۡرَةٌ
(are) exposed
and not
هِىَ
they
بِعَوۡرَةٍۖ
(were) exposed
إِن
Not
they wished
إِلَّا
but
فِرَارًا
١٣to flee
And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib,1 there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are exposed [i.e., unprotected]," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.
33:14
وَلَوۡ
And if
دُخِلَتۡ
had been entered
عَلَيۡهِم
upon them
from
أَقۡ طَارِهَا
all its sides
ثُمّ َ
then
سُئِلُواۡ
they had been asked
the treachery
لَأَتَوۡهَا
they (would) have certainly done it
وَمَا
and not
تَلَبَّثُواۡ
they (would) have hesitated
بِهَآ
over it
إِلَّا
except
يَسِيرًا
١٤a little
And if they had been entered upon from all its [surrounding] regions and fitnah [i.e., disbelief] had been demanded of them, they would have done it and not hesitated over it except briefly.
33:15
وَلَقَدۡ
And certainly
كَانُواۡ
they had
عَـٰ هَدُواۡ
promised
Allah
مِن
before
before
لَا
not
يُوَلُّونَ
they would turn
their backs
وَكَانَ
And is
عَهۡدُ
(the) promise
(to) Allah
مَسۡــُٔولاً
١٥to be questioned
And they had already promised Allāh before not to turn their backs [i.e., flee]. And ever is the promise to Allāh [that about which one will be] questioned.
33:16
قُل
Say
لَّن
Never
will benefit you
the fleeing
إِن
if
you flee
from
death
أَوِ
or
killing
وَإِذًا
and then
not
تُمَتَّعُونَ
you will be allowed to enjoy
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلاً
١٦a little
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Never will fleeing benefit you if you should flee from death or killing; and then [if you did], you would not be given enjoyment [of life] except for a little."
33:17
قُلۡ
Say
مَن
Who
(is) it that
(is) it that
يَعۡصِمُكُم
(can) protect you
from
Allah
إِنۡ
If
أَرَادَ
He intends
بِكُمۡ
for you
سُو ٓءًا
any harm
أَوۡ
or
أَرَادَ
He intends
بِكُمۡ
for you
رَحۡمَةًۚ
a mercy
And not
يَجِدُونَ
they will find
لَهُم
for them
besides
besides
Allah
وَلِيًّا
any protector
and not
نَصِيرًا
١٧any helper
Say, "Who is it that can protect you from Allāh1 if He intends for you an ill or intends for you a mercy?" And they will not find for themselves besides Allāh any protector or any helper.
33:18
۞قَدۡ
Verily
يَعۡلَمُ
Allah knows
Allah knows
those who hinder
مِنك ُمۡ
among you
وَٱ لۡقَا ٓئِلِينَ
and those who say
لِإِخۡوٰ نِهِمۡ
to their brothers
هَلُمّ َ
Come
إِلَيۡنَاۖ
to us
وَلَا
and not
يَأۡتُونَ
they come
(to) the battle
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلاً
١٨a few
Already Allāh knows the hinderers1 among you and those [hypocrites] who say to their brothers, "Come to us,"2 and do not go to battle, except for a few,3
33:19
أَشِحَّةً
Miserly
عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ
towards you
فَإِذَا
But when
جَا ٓءَ
comes
the fear
رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
you see them
يَنظ ُرُونَ
looking
إِلَيۡكَ
at you
تَدُورُ
revolving
أَعۡيُنُهُمۡ
their eyes
كَٱ لَّذِى
like one who
يُغۡشَىٰ
faints
عَلَيۡهِ
faints
مِنَ
from
[the] death
فَإِذَا
But when
ذَهَبَ
departs
the fear
سَلَقُوكُم
they smite you
with tongues
حِدَادٍ
sharp
أَشِحَّةً
miserly
عَلَى
towards
the good
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
لَمۡ
not
يُؤۡمِنُواۡ
they have believed
فَأَحۡبَطَ
so Allah made worthless
so Allah made worthless
أَعۡمَـٰ لَهُمۡۚ
their deeds
وَكَانَ
And is
ذٰ لِكَ
that
عَلَى
for
Allah
يَسِيرًا
١٩easy
Indisposed1 toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you, their eyes revolving like one being overcome by death. But when fear departs, they lash you with sharp tongues, indisposed toward [any] good. Those have not believed, so Allāh has rendered their deeds worthless, and ever is that, for Allāh, easy.
33:20
يَحۡسَبُونَ
They think
the confederates
لَمۡ
(have) not
يَذۡهَبُواۡۖ
withdrawn
وَإِن
And if
(should) come
the confederates
يَوَدُّواۡ
they would wish
لَوۡ
if
أَنّ َهُم
that they (were)
living in (the) desert
فِى
among
the Bedouins
يَسۡــَٔلُونَ
asking
عَنۡ
about
أَنۢب َا ٓئِكُمۡۖ
your news
وَلَوۡ
And if
كَانُواۡ
they were
فِيكُم
among you
not
قَـٰ تَلُوٓ اۡ
they would fight
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلاً
٢٠a little
They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn.1 And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.
