Ruku 239
1 Surahs9 Versesركوع 239
16:120
إِنّ َ
Indeed
إِبۡ رٰ هِيمَ
Ibrahim
كَانَ
was
أُمّ َةً
a nation
obedient
to Allah
حَنِيفًا
upright
and not
يَكُ
he was
مِنَ
of
the polytheists
Indeed, Abraham was a [comprehensive] leader,1 devoutly obedient to Allāh, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allāh.
16:121
شَاكِرًا
Thankful
for His favors
He chose him
وَهَدَٮٰ هُ
and guided him
إِلَىٰ
to
صِرٰ طٍ
the way
straight
[He was] grateful for His favors. He [i.e., Allāh] chose him and guided him to a straight path.
16:122
وَءَاتَيۡنَـٰ هُ
And We gave him
فِى
in
the world
حَسَنَةًۖ
good
and indeed, he
فِى
in
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
(he) will surely (be) among
the righteous
And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
16:123
ثُمّ َ
Then
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
to you
أَنِ
that
You follow
مِلَّةَ
(the) religion
إِبۡ رٰ هِيمَ
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفًاۖ
upright
and not
كَانَ
he was
مِنَ
of
the polytheists
Then We revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate with Allāh.
16:124
إِنّ َمَا
Only
جُعِلَ
was appointed
the Sabbath
عَلَى
for
those who
differed
فِيهِۚ
in it
وَإِنّ َ
And indeed
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
لَيَحۡكُمُ
will surely judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
between them
يَوۡمَ
(on) the Day
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
in what
كَانُواۡ
they used (to)
فِيهِ
[in it]
يَخۡتَلِفُو نَ
١٢٤differ
The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
16:125
ٱدۡ عُ
Call
إِلَىٰ
to
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
بِٱ لۡحِكۡمَةِ
with the wisdom
وَٱ لۡمَوۡعِظَةِ
and the instruction
the good
وَجَـٰ دِلۡهُم
and discuss with them
in that
هِىَ
which
أَحۡسَنُۚ
(is) best
إِنّ َ
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
هُوَ
He
أَعۡلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
of who
has strayed
عَن
from
His way
وَهُوَ
And He
أَعۡلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِٱ لۡمُهۡتَدِي نَ
١٢٥of the guided ones
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
16:126
وَإِنۡ
And if
عَاقَبۡ تُمۡ
you retaliate
فَعَاقِبُواۡ
then retaliate
بِمِثۡلِ
with the like
مَا
of what
عُوقِبۡ تُم
you were afflicted
with [it]
وَلَئِن
But if
you are patient
لَهُوَ
surely (it) is
خَيۡرٌ
better
for those who are patient
And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed.1 But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.
16:127
وَٱ صۡبِرۡ
And be patient
وَمَا
and not
صَبۡ رُكَ
(is) your patience
إِلَّا
but
بِٱ للَّهِۚ
from Allah
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَحۡزَنۡ
grieve
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
over them
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَكُ
be
فِى
in
ضَيۡقٍ
distress
for what
يَمۡكُرُو نَ
١٢٧they plot
And be patient, [O Muḥammad], and your patience is not but through Allāh. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.
16:128
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
مَعَ
(is) with
those who
fear (Him)
وَّٱ لَّذِينَ
and those who
هُم
[they]
(are) good-doers
Indeed, Allāh is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.
