1 Surahs10 Versesركوع 237
16:101
وَإِذَا
And when
بَدَّلۡنَآ
We substitute
ءَايَةً
a Verse
مَّكَانَ
(in) place
ءَايَةٍ‌ۙ
(of) a Verse
وَٱللَّهُ
and Allah
أَعۡلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَا
of what
يُنَزِّلُ
He sends down
قَالُوٓاۡ
they say
إِنَّمَآ
Only
أَنتَ
you
مُفۡتَرِۭ‌ۚ
(are) an inventor
بَلۡ
Nay
أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
most of them
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
know
١٠١
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allāh is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muḥammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.
16:102
قُلۡ
Say
نَزَّلَهُۥ
Has brought it down
رُوحُ
the Holy Spirit
ٱلۡقُدُسِ
the Holy Spirit
مِن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
in truth
لِيُثَبِّتَ
to make firm
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
وَهُدًى
and (as) a guidance
وَبُشۡرَىٰ
and glad tidings
لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
to the Muslims
١٠٢
Say, [O Muḥammad], "The Pure Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."
16:103
وَلَقَدۡ
And certainly
نَعۡلَمُ
We know
أَنَّهُمۡ
that they
يَقُولُونَ
say
إِنَّمَا
Only
يُعَلِّمُهُۥ
teaches him
بَشَرٌ‌ۗ
a human being
لِّسَانُ
(The) tongue
ٱلَّذِى
(of) the one
يُلۡحِدُونَ
they refer
إِلَيۡهِ
to him
أَعۡجَمِىٌّ
(is) foreign
وَهَـٰذَا
while this
لِسَانٌ
(is) a language
عَرَبِىٌّ
Arabic
مُّبِينٌ
clear
١٠٣
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches him [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)]." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign,1 and this [recitation, i.e., Qur’ān] is [in] a clear Arabic language.
16:104
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
believe
بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ
in the Verses
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
لَا
not
يَهۡدِيهِمُ
Allah will guide them
ٱللَّهُ
Allah will guide them
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌ
painful
١٠٤
Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of Allāh - Allāh will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment.
16:105
إِنَّمَا
Only
يَفۡتَرِى
they invent
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
the falsehood
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
believe
بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ
in the Verses
ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ
(of) Allah
وَأُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
and those
هُمُ
they
ٱلۡكَـٰذِبُونَ
(are) the liars
١٠٥
They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allāh, and it is those who are the liars.
16:106
مَن
Whoever
كَفَرَ
disbelieves
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
مِنۢ
after
بَعۡدِ
after
إِيمَـٰنِهِۦٓ
his belief
إِلَّا
except
مَنۡ
(one) who
أُكۡرِهَ
is forced
وَقَلۡبُهُۥ
while his heart
مُطۡمَئِنُّۢ
(is) content
بِٱلۡإِيمَـٰنِ
with the faith
وَلَـٰكِن
But
مَّن
(one) who
شَرَحَ
opens
بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ
to disbelief
صَدۡرًا
(his) breast
فَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
then upon them
غَضَبٌ
(is) a wrath
مِّنَ
of
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٌ
great
١٠٦
Whoever disbelieves in [i.e., denies] Allāh after his belief...1 except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allāh, and for them is a great punishment;
16:107
ذٰلِكَ
That (is)
بِأَنَّهُمُ
because
ٱسۡتَحَبُّواۡ
they preferred
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
(of) the world
عَلَى
over
ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ
the Hereafter
وَأَنَّ
and that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
the people
ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ
the disbelievers
١٠٧
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people.
16:108
أُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
(are) the ones
طَبَعَ
Allah has set a seal
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has set a seal
عَلَىٰ
over
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
their hearts
وَسَمۡعِهِمۡ
and their hearing
وَأَبۡصَـٰرِهِمۡ‌ۖ
and their sight
وَأُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
And those
هُمُ
they are
ٱلۡغَـٰفِلُونَ
the heedless
١٠٨
Those are the ones over whose hearts and hearing and vision Allāh has sealed, and it is those who are the heedless.
16:109
لَا
No
جَرَمَ
doubt
أَنَّهُمۡ
that they
فِى
in
ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ
the Hereafter
هُمُ
[they]
ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ
(are) the losers
١٠٩
Assuredly, it is they, in the Hereafter, who will be the losers.
16:110
ثُمَّ
Then
إِنَّ
indeed
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
لِلَّذِينَ
to those who
هَاجَرُواۡ
emigrated
مِنۢ
after
بَعۡدِ
after
مَا
what
فُتِنُواۡ
they had been put to trials
ثُمَّ
then
جَـٰهَدُواۡ
strove hard
وَصَبَرُوٓاۡ
and were patient
إِنَّ
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
مِنۢ
after it
بَعۡدِهَا
after it
لَغَفُورٌ
surely is Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful
١١٠
Then, indeed your Lord, to those who emigrated after they had been compelled [to say words of disbelief] and thereafter fought [for the cause of Allāh] and were patient - indeed, your Lord, after that, is Forgiving and Merciful
