1 Surahs16 Versesركوع 184
11:9
وَلَئِنۡ
And if
أَذَقۡ نَا
We give man a taste
We give man a taste
مِنّ َا
(of) Mercy from Us
رَحۡمَةً
(of) Mercy from Us
then
نَزَعۡنَـٰ هَا
We withdraw it
مِنۡهُ
from him
إِنّ َهُۥ
indeed, he
لَيَــُٔوسٌ
(is) despairing
(and) ungrateful
And if We give man a taste of mercy from Us and then We withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful.
11:10
وَلَئِنۡ
But if
أَذَقۡ نَـٰ هُ
We give him a taste
نَعۡمَا ٓءَ
(of) favor
بَعۡدَ
after
ضَرَّا ٓءَ
hardship
مَسَّتۡهُ
(has) touched him
لَيَقُولَنّ َ
surely, he will say
ذَهَبَ
Have gone
the evils
عَنّ ِىٓۚ
from me
إِنّ َهُۥ
Indeed, he
لَفَرِحٌ
(is) exultant
(and) boastful
But if We give him a taste of favor after hardship has touched him, he will surely say, "Bad times have left me." Indeed, he is exultant and boastful -
11:11
إِلَّا
Except
those who
صَبَرُواۡ
(are) patient
وَعَمِلُواۡ
and do
the good deeds
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
those
لَهُم
for them
(will be) forgiveness
and a reward
great
Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds; those will have forgiveness and great reward.
11:12
فَلَعَلَّكَ
Then possibly you
تَارِكُۢ
(may) give up
a part
مَا
(of) what
يُوحَىٰٓ
is revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
to you
وَضَا ٓئِقُۢ
and straitened
by it
صَدۡ رُكَ
your breast
أَن
because
they say
لَوۡلَآ
Why not
أُنز ِلَ
is sent down
عَلَيۡهِ
for him
كَنز ٌ
a treasure
أَوۡ
or
جَا ٓءَ
has come
مَعَهُۥ
with him
مَلَكٌۚ
an Angel
إِنّ َمَآ
Only
أَنت َ
you
نَذِيرٌۚ
(are) a warner
And Allah
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىۡءٍ
thing
a Guardian
Then would you possibly leave [out] some of what is revealed to you,1 or is your breast constrained by it because they say, "Why has there not been sent down to him a treasure or come with him an angel?" But you are only a warner. And Allāh is Disposer of all things.
11:13
أَمۡ
Or
يَقُولُونَ
they say
He has fabricated it
قُلۡ
Say
فَأۡتُواۡ
Then bring
بِعَشۡرِ
ten
سُوَرٍ
Surahs
like it
مُفۡتَرَيَـٰ تٍ
fabricated
and call
مَنِ
whoever
you can
besides Allah
besides Allah
besides Allah
إِن
if
you are
صَـٰ دِقِي نَ
١٣truthful
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Say, "Then bring ten sūrahs like it that have been invented and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allāh, if you should be truthful."
11:14
فَإِلَّمۡ
Then if not
يَسۡتَجِيبُواۡ
they respond
لَكُمۡ
to you
فَٱ عۡلَمُوٓ اۡ
then know
أَنّ َمَآ
that
أُنز ِلَ
it was sent down
بِعِلۡمِ
with the knowledge of Allah
with the knowledge of Allah
وَأَن
and that
(there is) no
إِلَـٰ هَ
god
إِلَّا
except
هُوَۖ
Him
فَهَلۡ
Then, would
أَنت ُم
you
(be) Muslims
And if they do not respond to you - then know that it [i.e., the Qur’ān] was revealed with the knowledge of Allāh1 and that there is no deity except Him. Then,2 would you [not] be Muslims?
11:15
مَن
Whoever [is]
Whoever [is]
يُرِيدُ
desires
the life
(of) the world
وَزِينَتَهَا
and its adornments
نُوَفِّ
We will repay in full
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
أَعۡمَـٰ لَهُمۡ
(for) their deeds
فِيهَا
therein
وَهُمۡ
and they
فِيهَا
in it
لَا
will not be lessened
يُبۡ خَسُو نَ
١٥will not be lessened
Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein,1 and they therein will not be deprived.
11:16
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
(are) the ones who
لَيۡسَ
(is) not
لَهُمۡ
for them
فِى
in
the Hereafter
إِلَّا
except
the Fire
وَحَبِطَ
And (has) gone in vain
مَا
what
صَنَعُواۡ
they did
فِيهَا
therein
وَبَـٰ طِلٌ
and (is) worthless
what
كَانُواۡ
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُو نَ
١٦do
Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein,1 and worthless is what they used to do.
11:17
أَفَمَن
Then is he who
is
عَلَىٰ
on
بَيِّنَةٍ
a clear proof
from
his Lord
وَيَتۡلُوهُ
and recites it
شَاهِدٌ
a witness
from Him
وَمِن
and before it
and before it
كِتَـٰ بُ
(was) a Book
مُوسَىٰٓ
(of) Musa
إِمَامًا
(as) a guide
and (as) mercy
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
believe
بِهِۦ ۚ
in it
وَمَن
But whoever
disbelieves
بِهِۦ
in it
مِنَ
among
the sects
فَٱ ل نّ َارُ
then the Fire
مَوۡعِدُهُۥ ۚ
(will be) his promised (meeting) place
فَلَا
So (do) not
تَكُ
be
فِى
in
مِرۡيَةٍ
doubt
about it
إِنّ َهُ
Indeed, it
(is) the truth
مِن
from
your Lord
وَلَـٰ كِنّ َ
but
أَكۡثَرَ
most
(of) the people
لَا
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُو نَ
١٧believe
So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness1 from Him follows it,2 and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in it [i.e., the Qur’ān]. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.
11:18
وَمَنۡ
And who
أَظۡلَمُ
(is) more unjust
مِمّ َنِ
than (he) who
invents
عَلَى
against
Allah
كَذِبًاۚ
a lie
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
يُعۡرَضُونَ
will be presented
عَلَىٰ
before
رَبِّهِمۡ
their Lord
وَيَقُولُ
and will say
the witnesses
هَـٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ
These (are)
those who
كَذَبُواۡ
lied
عَلَىٰ
against
رَبِّهِمۡۚ
their Lord
أَلَا
No doubt
لَعۡنَةُ
(The) curse of Allah
(The) curse of Allah
عَلَى
(is) on
the wrongdoers
And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allāh? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allāh is upon the wrongdoers.
11:19
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
يَصُدُّونَ
hinder
عَن
from
(the) way
(of) Allah
وَيَبۡ غُونَهَا
and seek (in) it
عِوَجًا
crookedness
while they
in the Hereafter
هُمۡ
[they]
كَـٰ فِرُو نَ
١٩(are) disbelievers
Who averted [people] from the way of Allāh and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers.
11:20
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
لَمۡ
not
يَكُونُواۡ
will be
مُعۡجِزِينَ
(able to) escape
فِى
in
the earth
وَمَا
and not
كَانَ
is
لَهُم
for them
besides
besides
Allah
مِنۡ
any
أَوۡلِيَا ٓءَۘ
protectors
يُضَـٰ عَفُ
And will be doubled
لَهُمُ
for them
the punishment
مَا
Not
كَانُواۡ
they were
يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
able
(to) hear
وَمَا
and not
كَانُواۡ
they used (to)
يُبۡ صِرُو نَ
٢٠see
Those were not causing failure [to Allāh] on earth, nor did they have besides Allāh any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.1
11:21
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
(are) the ones who
خَسِرُوٓ اۡ
(have) lost
أَنف ُسَهُمۡ
their souls
وَضَلَّ
and lost
عَنۡهُم
from them
(is) what
كَانُواۡ
they used
يَفۡتَرُو نَ
٢١(to) invent
Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.
11:22
لَا
No
جَرَمَ
doubt
أَنّ َهُمۡ
that they
فِى
in
the Hereafter
هُمُ
[they]
(will be) the greatest losers
Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the greatest losers.
11:23
إِنّ َ
Indeed
those who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
وَعَمِلُواۡ
and do
good deeds
وَأَخۡبَتُوٓ اۡ
and humble themselves
إِلَىٰ
before
رَبِّهِمۡ
their Lord
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
those
أَصۡحَـٰ بُ
(are the) companions
(of) Paradise
هُمۡ
they
فِيهَا
in it
خَـٰ لِدُو نَ
٢٣(will) abide forever
Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds and humbled themselves to their Lord - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide eternally therein.
11:24
۞مَثَلُ
(The) example
(of) the two parties
كَٱ لۡأَعۡمَىٰ
(is) like the blind
وَٱ لۡأَصَمّ ِ
and the deaf
وَٱ لۡبَصِيرِ
and the seer
وَٱ ل سَّمِيعِۚ
and the hearer
هَلۡ
Are
يَسۡتَوِيَانِ
they equal
مَثَلاًۚ
(in) comparison
أَفَلَا
Then, will not
تَذَكَّرُو نَ
٢٤you take heed
The example of the two parties is like the blind and deaf, and the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Then, will you not remember?
