Alif, Lām, Rā.1 [This is] a Book whose verses are perfected and then presented in detail from [one who is] Wise and Aware2
11:2
أَلَّا
That "Not
تَعۡبُدُوٓ اۡ
you worship
إِلَّا
but
Allah
إِنّ َنِى
Indeed, I am
لَكُم
to you
from Him
نَذِيرٌ
a warner
and a bearer of glad tidings
[Through a messenger, saying], "Do not worship except Allāh. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings,"
11:3
وَأَنِ
And that
Seek forgiveness
رَبَّكُمۡ
(of) your Lord
ثُمّ َ
and
تُوبُوٓ اۡ
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِ
to Him
يُمَتِّعۡكُم
He will let you
enjoy
حَسَنًا
a good
إِلَىٰٓ
for
أَجَلٍ
a term
appointed
And give
كُلَّ
(to) every
ذِى
owner
فَضۡلٍ
(of) grace
His Grace
وَإِن
But if
you turn away
فَإِنّ ِىٓ
then indeed, I
أَخَافُ
fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
for you
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
يَوۡمٍ
(of) a Great Day
(of) a Great Day
And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor [i.e., reward]. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.
11:4
إِلَى
To
Allah
مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ
(is) your return
وَهُوَ
and He
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىۡءٍ

All-Powerful
To Allāh is your return, and He is over all things competent."
11:5
أَلَآ
No doubt
إِنّ َهُمۡ
They
يَثۡنُونَ
fold up
صُدُورَهُمۡ
their breasts
لِيَسۡتَخۡفُواۡ
that they may hide
مِنۡهُۚ
from Him
أَلَا
Surely
حِينَ
when
يَسۡتَغۡشُونَ
they cover (themselves)
ثِيَابَهُمۡ
(with) their garments
يَعۡلَمُ
He knows
مَا
what
يُسِرُّونَ
they conceal
وَمَا
and what
يُعۡلِنُونَۚ
they reveal
إِنّ َهُۥ
Indeed, He
عَلِيمُۢ
(is) All-Knower
of what
(is in) the breasts
Unquestionably, they [i.e., the disbelievers] turn away their breasts to hide themselves from him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, He [i.e., Allāh] knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
11:6
۞وَمَا
And not
مِن
any
moving creature
in
the earth
إِلَّا
but
عَلَى
on
Allah
رِزۡقُهَا
(is) its provision
وَيَعۡلَمُ
And He knows
مُسۡتَقَرَّهَا
its dwelling place
وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعَهَاۚ
and its place of storage
كُلٌّ
All
(is) in
كِتَـٰ بٍ
a Record
clear
And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allāh is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage.1 All is in a clear register.
11:7
وَهُوَ
And He
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَ
created
the heavens
وَٱ لۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
فِى
in
سِتَّةِ
six
أَيَّامٍ
epochs
and His throne was
عَرۡشُهُۥ
and His throne was
عَلَى
on
the water
لِيَبۡ لُوَكُمۡ
that He might test [you]
أَيُّكُمۡ
which of you
أَحۡسَنُ
(is) best
عَمَلاًۗ
(in) deed
But if
you say
إِنّ َكُم
Indeed, you
(will be) resurrected
مِنۢ
after
after
[the] death
لَيَقُولَنّ َ
surely would say
those who
كَفَرُوٓ اۡ
disbelieved
إِنۡ
This is not
هَـٰ ذَآ
This is not
إِلَّا
but
سِحۡرٌ
a magic
clear
And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water - that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, "Indeed, you are resurrected after death," those who disbelieve will surely say, "This is not but obvious magic."
11:8
وَلَئِنۡ
And if
أَخَّرۡنَا
We delay
عَنۡهُمُ
from them
the punishment
إِلَىٰٓ
for
أُمّ َةٍ
a time
determined
they will surely say
مَا
What
يَحۡبِسُهُۥٓۗ
detains it
أَلَا
No doubt
يَوۡمَ
(On) the Day
يَأۡتِيهِمۡ
it comes to them
لَيۡسَ
not
مَصۡرُوفًا
(will be) averted
عَنۡهُمۡ
from them
وَحَاقَ
and will surround
بِهِم
them
what
كَانُواۡ
they used (to)
بِهِۦ
mock at [it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُو نَ
٨mock at [it]
And if We hold back from them the punishment for a limited time, they will surely say,1 "What detains it?" Unquestionably, on the Day it comes to them, it will not be averted from them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
