Back to Ruku Indexم ِّنۢ ب َعۡضٍۚ ي َأۡمُرُونَٱ لۡمَعۡرُوفِٱ للَّهَٱ لۡمُنَـٰ فِقِينَٱ لۡفَـٰ سِقُو نَ٦٧ٱ للَّهُٱ لۡمُنَـٰ فِقِينَٱ للَّهُۖم ُّقِي مٌ٦٨ق َبۡ لِكُمۡو َأَكۡثَرَو َأَوۡلَـٰ دًا ف َٱ سۡتَمۡتَعُواۡ ب ِخَلَـٰ قِكُمۡٱ سۡتَمۡتَعَٱ لَّذِينَق َبۡ لِكُم ب ِخَلَـٰ قِهِمۡٱ ل دُّنۡيَاٱ لۡخَـٰ سِرُو نَ٦٩ٱ لَّذِينَق َبۡ لِهِمۡو َعَادٍ و َثَمُودَب ِٱ لۡبَيِّنَـٰ تِۖٱ للَّهُك َانُوٓ اۡ ي َأۡمُرُونَٱ لۡمُنك َرِٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَٱ ل زَّكَو ٰ ةَٱ للَّهَٱ للَّهُۗٱ للَّهَٱ للَّهُٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنِينَت َجۡ رِىت َحۡتِهَاٱ لۡأَنۡهَـٰ رُف ِىو َرِضۡوٰ نٌ م ِّنَٱ للَّهِٱ لۡفَوۡزُٱ لۡعَظِي مُ٧٢

9:67
ٱلۡمُنَـٰ فِقُونَ
The hypocrite men
وَٱ لۡمُنَـٰ فِقَـٰ تُ
and the hypocrite women
بَعۡضُهُم
some of them
(are) of
others
They enjoin
بِٱ لۡمُنك َرِ
the wrong
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
and forbid
عَنِ
what
(is) the right
وَيَقۡ بِضُونَ
and they close
أَيۡدِيَهُمۡۚ
their hands
نَسُواۡ
They forget
Allah
فَنَسِيَهُمۡۗ
so He has forgotten them
إِنّ َ
Indeed
the hypocrites
هُمُ
they (are)
the defiantly disobedient
The hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands.1 They have forgotten Allāh, so He has forgotten them [accordingly]. Indeed, the hypocrites - it is they who are the defiantly disobedient.
9:68
وَعَدَ
Allah has promised
Allah has promised
the hypocrite men
وَٱ لۡمُنَـٰ فِقَـٰ تِ
and the hypocrite women
وَٱ لۡكُفَّارَ
and the disbelievers
نَارَ
Fire
جَهَنّ َمَ
(of) Hell
خَـٰ لِدِينَ
they (will) abide forever
فِيهَاۚ
in it
هِىَ
It (is)
حَسۡبُهُمۡۚ
sufficient for them
وَلَعَنَهُمُ
And Allah has cursed them
And Allah has cursed them
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
enduring
Allāh has promised the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the disbelievers the fire of Hell, wherein they will abide eternally. It is sufficient for them. And Allāh has cursed them, and for them is an enduring punishment.
9:69
كَٱ لَّذِينَ
Like those
مِن
before you
before you
كَانُوٓ اۡ
they were
أَشَدَّ
mightier
مِنك ُمۡ
than you
قُوَّةً
(in) strength
and more abundant
أَمۡوٰ اً
(in) wealth
and children
So they enjoyed
بِخَلَـٰ قِهِمۡ
their portion
فَٱ سۡتَمۡتَعۡتُم
and you have enjoyed
your portion
كَمَا
like
enjoyed
those
مِن
before you
before you
their portion
وَخُضۡتُمۡ
and you indulge
كَٱ لَّذِى
like the one who
خَاضُوٓاۡ ۚ
indulges (in idle talk)
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
حَبِطَتۡ
worthless
أَعۡمَـٰ لُهُمۡ
(are) their deeds
فِى
in
the world
وَٱ لۡأَخِرَةِۖ
and (in) the Hereafter
وَأُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
And those
هُمُ
they
(are) the losers
[You disbelievers are] like those before you; they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. [It is] those whose deeds have become worthless in this world and in the Hereafter, and it is they who are the losers.
9:70
أَلَمۡ
Has not
يَأۡتِهِمۡ
come to them
نَبَأُ
(the) news
(of) those who
مِن
(were) before them
(were) before them
قَوۡمِ
(the) people
نُوحٍ
(of) Nuh
and Aad
and Thamud
وَقَوۡمِ
and (the) people
إِبۡ رٰ
(of) Ibrahim
وَأَصۡحَـٰ بِ
and (the) companions
مَدۡ يَنَ
(of) Madyan
وَٱ لۡمُؤۡتَفِكَـٰ تِۚ
and the towns overturned
أَتَتۡهُمۡ
Came to them
رُسُلُهُم
their Messengers
with clear proofs
فَمَا
And not
كَانَ
was
Allah
لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ
to wrong them
وَلَـٰ كِن
but
they were (to)
أَنف ُسَهُمۡ
themselves
يَظۡلِمُو نَ
٧٠doing wrong
Has there not reached them the news of those before them - the people of Noah and [the tribes of] ʿAad and Thamūd and the people of Abraham and the companions [i.e., dwellers] of Madyan and the towns overturned?1 Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. And Allāh would never have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.
9:71
وَٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
And the believing men
وَٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰ تُ
and the believing women
بَعۡضُهُمۡ
some of them
أَوۡلِيَا ٓءُ
(are) allies
بَعۡضٍۚ
(of) others
They enjoin
بِٱ لۡمَعۡرُوفِ
the right
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
and forbid
عَنِ
from
the wrong
وَيُقِيمُونَ
and they establish
the prayer
وَيُؤۡتُونَ
and give
the zakah
وَيُطِيعُونَ
and they obey
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ
and His Messenger
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
سَيَرۡحَمُهُمُ
Allah will have mercy on them
Allah will have mercy on them
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
عَزِيزٌ
(is) All-Mighty
حَكِي مٌ
٧١All-Wise
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakāh and obey Allāh and His Messenger. Those - Allāh will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise.
9:72
وَعَدَ
(Has been) promised
(by) Allah
(to) the believing men
وَٱ لۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰ تِ
and the believing women
جَنّ َـٰ تٍ
Gardens
flow
مِن
from
underneath it
the rivers
خَـٰ لِدِينَ
(will) abide forever
فِيهَا
in it
وَمَسَـٰ كِنَ
and dwellings
طَيِّبَةً
blessed
in
جَنّ َـٰ تِ
Gardens
عَدۡ نٍۚ
(of) everlasting bliss
But the pleasure
of
Allah
أَكۡبَرُۚ
(is) greater
ذٰ
That
هُوَ
it
(is) the success
great
Allāh has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allāh is greater. It is that which is the great attainment.
