Back to Ruku Indexي َعۡمُرُواۡ ٱ للَّهِب ِٱ لۡكُفۡرِۚٱ ل نّ َارِٱ للَّهِٱ لۡأَخِرِٱ ل صَّلَو ٰ ةَٱ ل زَّكَو ٰ ةَٱ للَّهَۖي َكُونُواۡ ٱ لۡمُهۡتَدِي نَ١٨ٱ لۡحَا ٓجِّٱ لۡمَسۡجِدِٱ لۡحَرَامِٱ لۡأَخِرِٱ للَّهِۚٱ للَّهِۗٱ لۡقَوۡمَٱ ل ظَّـٰ لِمِي نَ١٩ٱ للَّهِٱ للَّهِۚٱ لۡفَا ٓئِزُو نَ٢٠ب ِرَحۡمَةٍ م ِّنۡهُو َجَنّ َـٰ تٍ ل َّهُمۡم ُّقِي مٌ٢١ٱ للَّهَٱ لَّذِينَٱ سۡتَحَبُّواۡ ٱ لۡكُفۡرَٱ لۡإِيمَـٰ نِۚي َتَوَلَّهُم م ِّنك ُمۡٱ ل ظَّـٰ لِمُو نَ٢٣ك َانَٱ قۡ تَرَفۡتُمُوهَات َخۡشَوۡنَم ِّنَٱ للَّهِف ِىٱ للَّهُٱ لۡقَوۡمَٱ لۡفَـٰ سِقِي نَ٢٤
Ruku 158
1 Surahs8 Versesركوع 158
9:17
مَا
(It) is not
كَانَ
(It) is not
لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
for the polytheists
أَن
that
they maintain
مَسَـٰ جِدَ
(the) masajid of Allah
(the) masajid of Allah
شَـٰ هِدِينَ
(while) witnessing
عَلَىٰٓ
against
أَنف ُسِهِم
themselves
[with] disbelief
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
(For) those
حَبِطَتۡ
worthless
أَعۡمَـٰ لُهُمۡ
(are) their deeds
وَفِى
and in
the Fire
هُمۡ
they
خَـٰ لِدُو نَ
١٧(will) abide forever
It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allāh [while] witnessing against themselves with disbelief. [For] those, their deeds have become worthless, and in the Fire they will abide eternally.
9:18
إِنّ َمَا
Only
يَعۡمُرُ
will maintain
مَسَـٰ جِدَ
(the) masajid of Allah
(the) masajid of Allah
مَنۡ
(the one) who
ءَامَنَ
believes
بِٱ للَّهِ
in Allah
وَٱ لۡيَوۡمِ
and the Day
the Last
وَأَقَامَ
and establishes
the prayer
وَءَاتَى
and gives
the zakah
وَلَمۡ
and not
يَخۡشَ
fear
إِلَّا
except
Allah
فَعَسَىٰٓ
Then perhaps
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
those
أَن
[that]
they are
مِنَ
of
the guided ones
The mosques of Allāh are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakāh and do not fear except Allāh, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.
9:19
۞أَجَعَلۡتُمۡ
Do you make
سِقَايَةَ
the providing of water
(to) the pilgrims
وَعِمَارَةَ
and (the) maintenance
(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
كَمَنۡ
like (the one) who
ءَامَنَ
believes
بِٱ للَّهِ
in Allah
وَٱ لۡيَوۡمِ
and the Day
the Last
وَجَـٰ هَدَ
and strives
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
(of) Allah
لَا
They are not equal
يَسۡتَوُۥ نَ
They are not equal
عِند َ
near
Allah
وَٱ للَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
the people
the wrongdoers
Have you made the providing of water for the pilgrim and the maintenance of al-Masjid al-Ḥarām equal to [the deeds of] one who believes in Allāh and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allāh? They are not equal in the sight of Allāh. And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.
9:20
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believed
وَهَاجَرُواۡ
and emigrated
وَجَـٰ هَدُواۡ
and strove
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
(of) Allah
بِأَمۡوٰ
with their wealth
وَأَنف ُسِهِمۡ
and their lives
أَعۡظَمُ
(are) greater
دَرَجَةً
(in) rank
عِند َ
near
Allah
وَأُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
And those
هُمُ
they
(are) the successful
The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven in the cause of Allāh with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allāh. And it is those who are the attainers [of success].
9:21
يُبَشِّرُهُمۡ
Their Lord gives them glad tidings
رَبُّهُم
Their Lord gives them glad tidings
of Mercy
from Him
وَرِضۡوٰ نٍ
and Pleasure
and Gardens
for them
فِيهَا
in it
نَعِيمٌ
(is) bliss
enduring
Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure.
9:22
خَـٰ لِدِينَ
(They will) abide
فِيهَآ
in it
أَبَدًاۚ
forever
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
عِند َهُۥٓ
with Him
أَجۡ رٌ
(is) a reward
عَظِي مٌ
٢٢great
[They will be] abiding therein forever. Indeed, Allāh has with Him a great reward.
9:23
يَـٰٓ أَيُّهَا
O you
who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
لَا
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُوٓ اۡ
take
ءَابَا ٓءَكُمۡ
your fathers
وَإِخۡوٰ
and your brothers
أَوۡلِيَا ٓءَ
(as) allies
إِنِ
if
they prefer
[the] disbelief
عَلَى
over
[the] belief
وَمَن
And whoever
takes them as allies
among you
فَأُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
then those
هُمُ
[they]
(are) the wrongdoers
O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
9:24
قُلۡ
Say
إِن
If
are
ءَابَا ٓؤُكُمۡ
your fathers
وَأَبۡ نَا ٓؤُكُمۡ
and your sons
وَإِخۡوٰ
and your brothers
وَأَزۡوٰ
and your spouses
وَعَشِيرَتُكُمۡ
and your relatives
وَأَمۡوٰ
and wealth
that you have acquired
وَتِجَـٰ رَةٌ
and the commerce
you fear
كَسَادَهَا
a decline (in) it
وَمَسَـٰ كِنُ
and the dwellings
تَرۡضَوۡنَهَآ
you delight (in) it
أَحَبَّ
(are) more beloved
إِلَيۡكُم
to you
than
Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His Messenger
وَجِهَادٍ
and striving
in
سَبِيلِهِۦ
His way
فَتَرَبَّصُواۡ
then wait
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَأۡتِىَ
Allah brings
Allah brings
بِأَمۡرِهِۦ ۗ
His Command
وَٱ للَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
the people
the defiantly disobedient
Say, [O Muḥammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allāh and His Messenger and jihād [i.e., striving] in His cause, then wait until Allāh executes His command. And Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people."
