1 Surahs12 Versesركوع 110
6:71
قُلۡ
Say
أَنَدۡ عُواۡ
Shall we call
مِن
from
besides
Allah
مَا
what
لَا
not
يَنف َعُنَا
benefits us
وَلَا
and not
يَضُرُّنَا
harms us
وَنُرَدُّ
and we turn back
عَلَىٰٓ
on
أَعۡقَابِنَا
our heels
بَعۡدَ
after
إِذۡ
[when]
هَدَٮٰ نَا
(has) guided us
Allah
كَٱ لَّذِى
Like the one
whom (has been) enticed
(by) the Shaitaan
فِى
in
the earth
حَيۡرَانَ
confused
لَهُۥٓ
he has
أَصۡحَـٰ بٌ
companions
who call him
إِلَى
towards
the guidance
'Come to us.'
قُلۡ
Say
إِنّ َ
Indeed
هُدَى
(the) Guidance
(of) Allah
هُوَ
it
(is) the Guidance
وَأُمِرۡنَا
and we have been commanded
لِنُسۡلِمَ
that we submit
لِرَبِّ
to (the) Lord
(of) the worlds
Say, "Shall we invoke1 instead of Allāh that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allāh has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.'"2 Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allāh is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.
6:72
وَأَنۡ
And to
أَقِيمُواۡ
establish
the prayer
وَٱ تَّقُوهُۚ
and fear Him
وَهُوَ
And He
(is) the One
إِلَيۡهِ
to Him
تُحۡشَرُو نَ
٧٢you will be gathered
And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.
6:73
وَهُوَ
And (it is) He
Who
خَلَقَ
created
the heavens
وَٱ لۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
بِٱ لۡحَقِّۖ
in truth
وَيَوۡمَ
And (the) Day
يَقُولُ
He says
كُن
Be
and it is
قَوۡلُهُ
His word
(is) the truth
وَلَهُ
And for Him
(is) the Dominion
يَوۡمَ
(on the) Day
يُنف َخُ
will be blown
فِى
in
the trumpet
عَـٰ لِمُ
(He is) All-Knower
(of) the unseen
وَٱ ل شَّهَـٰ دَةِۚ
and the seen
وَهُوَ
And He
(is) the All-Wise
the All-Aware
And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day [i.e., whenever] He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth.1 And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen2 and the witnessed;3 and He is the Wise, the Aware.
6:74
۞وَإِذۡ
And when
قَالَ
said
إِبۡ رٰ هِيمُ
Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
to his father
ءَازَرَ
Azar
أَتَتَّخِذُ
Do you take
أَصۡنَامًا
idols
ءَالِهَةًۖ
(as) gods
إِنّ ِىٓ
Indeed, I
أَرَٮٰ كَ
[I] see you
وَقَوۡمَكَ
and your people
فِى
in
ضَلَـٰ لٍ
error
manifest
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham said to his father Āzar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."
6:75
وَكَذٰ لِكَ
And thus
نُرِىٓ
We show(ed)
إِبۡ رٰ هِيمَ
Ibrahim
مَلَكُوتَ
the kingdom
(of) the heavens
وَٱ لۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
وَلِيَكُونَ
so that he would be
مِنَ
among
the ones who are certain
And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith].
6:76
فَلَمّ َا
So when
جَنّ َ
covered
عَلَيۡهِ
over him
the night
رَءَا
he saw
كَوۡكَبًاۖ
a star
He said
هَـٰ ذَا
This
رَبِّىۖ
(is) my Lord
فَلَمّ َآ
But when
أَفَلَ
it set
قَالَ
he said
لَآ
Not
أُحِبُّ
(do) I like
the ones that set
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord."1 But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]."
6:77
فَلَمّ َا
When
رَءَا
he saw
the moon
بَازِغًا
rising
he said
هَـٰ ذَا
This
رَبِّىۖ
(is) my Lord
فَلَمّ َآ
But when
أَفَلَ
it set
قَالَ
he said
لَئِن
If
(does) not
يَهۡدِنِى
guide me
رَبِّى
my Lord
لَأَكُونَنّ َ
I will surely be
مِنَ
among
the people
who went astray
And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."
6:78
فَلَمّ َا
When
رَءَا
he saw
the sun
بَازِغَةً
rising
he said
هَـٰ ذَا
This (is)
رَبِّى
my Lord
هَـٰ ذَآ
this (is)
أَكۡبَرُۖ
greater
فَلَمّ َآ
But when
أَفَلَتۡ
it set
قَالَ
he said
يَـٰ قَوۡمِ
O my people
إِنّ ِى
Indeed, I am
بَرِى ٓءٌ
free
of what
تُشۡرِكُو نَ
٧٨you associate (with Allah)
And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allāh.
6:79
إِنّ ِى
Indeed, I
وَجَّهۡتُ
[I] have turned
وَجۡ هِىَ
my face
لِلَّذِى
to the One Who
فَطَرَ
created
the heavens
وَٱ لۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
حَنِيفًاۖ
(as) a true monotheist
and not
أَنَاۡ
I (am)
مِنَ
of
the polytheists
Indeed, I have turned my face [i.e., self] toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allāh."
6:80
وَحَا ٓجَّهُۥ
And argued with him
قَوۡمُهُۥ ۚ
his people
قَالَ
He said
أَتُحَـٰٓ جُّو ٓنّ ِى
Do you argue with me
فِى
concerning
Allah
وَقَدۡ
while certainly
هَدَٮٰ نِۚ
He has guided me
وَلَآ
And not
أَخَافُ
(do) I fear
مَا

بِهِۦٓ
with Him
إِلَّآ
unless
أَن
[that]

رَبِّى
my Lord
شَيۡــًٔاۗ
anything
Encompasses
رَبِّى
my Lord
كُلَّ
every
شَىۡءٍ
thing
عِلۡمًاۗ
(in) knowledge
أَفَلَا
Then will not
تَتَذَكَّرُو نَ
٨٠you take heed
And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allāh while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember?
6:81
وَكَيۡفَ
And how
أَخَافُ
could I fear
مَآ
what
أَشۡرَكۡتُمۡ
you associate (with Allah)
وَلَا
while not
تَخَافُونَ
you fear
أَنّ َكُمۡ
that you
أَشۡرَكۡتُم

مَا
what
لَمۡ

did He send down
بِهِۦ

So which
(of) the two parties
أَحَقُّ
has more right
بِٱ لۡأَمۡنِۖ
to security
إِن
if
you
تَعۡلَمُو نَ
٨١know
And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allāh that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?"
6:82
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believed
وَلَمۡ
and (did) not
يَلۡبِسُوٓ اۡ
mix
إِيمَـٰ نَهُم
their belief
with wrong
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
those
لَهُمُ
for them
(is) the security
وَهُم
and they
(are) rightly guided
They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice1 - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.
