Back to Surahsٱ لَّذِىٱ لَّذِىٱ لۡيَتِي مَ٢ٱ لۡمِسۡكِي نِ٣ل ِّلۡمُصَلِّي نَ٤ص َلَاتِهِمۡٱ لۡمَاعُو نَ٧
الماعون
Al-Ma'un
The Small kindnesses7 Versesmakkah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

107:1
أَرَءَيۡتَ
Have you seen
the one who
يُكَذِّبُ
denies
بِٱ ل دِّي نِ
١the Judgment
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
107:2
فَذٰ
Then that
(is) the one who
يَدُعُّ
repulses
the orphan
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
107:3
وَلَا
And (does) not
يَحُضُّ
feel the urge
عَلَىٰ
to
طَعَامِ
feed
the poor
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.
107:4
فَوَيۡلٌ
So woe
to those who pray
So woe to those who pray
107:5
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
هُمۡ
[they]
عَن
about
their prayers
سَاهُو نَ
٥(are) neglectful
[But] who are heedless of their prayer1 -
107:6
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
هُمۡ
[they]
يُرَا ٓءُو نَ
٦make show
Those who make show [of their deeds]
107:7
وَيَمۡنَعُونَ
And they deny
[the] small kindnesses
And withhold [simple] assistance.
