Al-Masad
The Palm Fiber5 Verses7 Hadithsmakkah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
✦
111:1
تَبَّتۡ
Perish
يَدَآ
(the) hands
أَبِى
(of) Abu
لَهَبٍ
Lahab
and perish he
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.1
111:2
مَآ
Not
أَغۡنَىٰ
(will) avail
عَنۡهُ
him
مَالُهُۥ
his wealth
وَمَا
and what
كَسَب َ
٢he earned
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
111:3
سَيَصۡلَىٰ
He will be burnt
نَارًا
(in) a Fire
of
لَهَب ٍ
٣Blazing Flames
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
111:4
وَٱ مۡرَأَتُهُۥ
And his wife
حَمّ َالَةَ
(the) carrier
(of) firewood
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.1
111:5
فِى
In
جِيدِهَا
her neck
حَبۡ لٌ
(will be) a rope
of
palm-fiber
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
