أَلَّا
that not
يَزَّكَّىٰ
٧he purifies himself
And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.1
80:8
وَأَمّ َا
But as for
مَن
(he) who
came to you
يَسۡعَىٰ
٨striving
But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]
80:9
وَهُوَ
While he
يَخۡشَىٰ
٩fears
While he fears [Allāh],
80:10
فَأَنت َ
But you
عَنۡهُ
from him
تَلَهَّىٰ
١٠(are) distracted

what
شَىۡءٍ
thing
خَلَقَهُۥ
١٨He created him
From what thing [i.e., substance] did He create him?
80:19
مِن
From
a semen-drop
خَلَقَهُۥ
He created him
فَقَدَّرَهُۥ
١٩then He proportioned him
From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;1
80:20
ثُمّ َ

the way
