Hizb 56

5 Surahs64 Versesالحزب 56
62:1
يُسَبِّحُ
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
Allah
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
the earth
ٱلۡمَلِكِ
the Sovereign
ٱلۡقُدُّوسِ
the Holy
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
the All-Wise
١
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allāh,1 the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.2
62:2
هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
بَعَثَ
sent
فِى
among
ٱلۡأُمِّيِّــۧنَ
the unlettered
رَسُولاً
a Messenger
مِّنۡهُمۡ
from themselves
يَتۡلُواۡ
reciting
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
His Verses
وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ
and purifying them
وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
and teaching them
ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ
the Book
وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ
and the wisdom
وَإِن
although
كَانُواۡ
they were
مِن
from
قَبۡلُ
before
لَفِى
surely in
ضَلَـٰلٍ
an error
مُّبِينٍ
clear
٢
It is He who has sent among the unlettered [Arabs] a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] and wisdom [i.e., the sunnah] - although they were before in clear error -
62:3
وَءَاخَرِينَ
And others
مِنۡهُمۡ
among them
لَمَّا
who have not yet
يَلۡحَقُواۡ
joined
بِهِمۡ‌ۚ
them
وَهُوَ
and He
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise
٣
And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
62:4
ذٰلِكَ
That
فَضۡلُ
(is the) Bounty
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
يُؤۡتِيهِ
He gives it
مَن
(to) whom
يَشَآءُ‌ۚ
He wills
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
ذُو
(is the) Possessor
ٱلۡفَضۡلِ
(of) Bounty
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
the Great
٤
That is the bounty of Allāh, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allāh is the possessor of great bounty.
62:5
مَثَلُ
(The) likeness
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
حُمِّلُواۡ
were entrusted
ٱلتَّوۡرَٮٰةَ
(with) the Taurat
ثُمَّ
then
لَمۡ
not
يَحۡمِلُوهَا
they bore it
كَمَثَلِ
(is) like
ٱلۡحِمَارِ
the donkey
يَحۡمِلُ
who carries
أَسۡفَارَۢا‌ۚ
books
بِئۡسَ
Wretched is
مَثَلُ
(the) example
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
(of) the people
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
كَذَّبُواۡ
deny
بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
the people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers
٥
The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on1 is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books].2 Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allāh. And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.
62:6
قُلۡ
Say
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
you (who)
هَادُوٓاۡ
(are) Jews
إِن
If
زَعَمۡتُمۡ
you claim
أَنَّكُمۡ
that you
أَوۡلِيَآءُ
(are) allies
لِلَّهِ
of Allah
مِن
from
دُونِ
excluding
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
فَتَمَنَّوُاۡ
then wish
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
(for) the death
إِن
if
كُنتُمۡ
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ
truthful
٦
Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allāh, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."
62:7
وَلَا
But not
يَتَمَنَّوۡنَهُۥٓ
they will wish for it
أَبَدَۢا
ever
بِمَا
for what
قَدَّمَتۡ
(have) sent forth
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ‌ۚ
their hands
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
(is) All-Knowing
بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
of the wrongdoers
٧
But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allāh is Knowing of the wrongdoers.
62:8
قُلۡ
Say
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
the death
ٱلَّذِى
which
تَفِرُّونَ
you flee
مِنۡهُ
from it
فَإِنَّهُۥ
then surely it
مُلَـٰقِيكُمۡ‌ۖ
(will) meet you
ثُمَّ
Then
تُرَدُّونَ
you will be sent back
إِلَىٰ
to
عَـٰلِمِ
(the) All-Knower
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ
and the witnessed
فَيُنَبِّئُكُم
and He will inform you
بِمَا
[of] what
كُنتُمۡ
you used to
تَعۡمَلُونَ
do
٨
Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."
62:9
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
(you) who
ءَامَنُوٓاۡ
believe
إِذَا
When
نُودِىَ
(the) call is made
لِلصَّلَوٰةِ
for (the) prayer
مِن
on
يَوۡمِ
(the) day
ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ
(of) Friday
فَٱسۡعَوۡاۡ
then hasten
إِلَىٰ
to
ذِكۡرِ
(the) remembrance
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَذَرُواۡ
and leave
ٱلۡبَيۡعَ‌ۚ
the business
ذٰلِكُمۡ
That
خَيۡرٌ
(is) better
لَّكُمۡ
for you
إِن
if
كُنتُمۡ
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
know
٩
O you who have believed, when [the adhān] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allāh and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.
62:10
فَإِذَا
Then when
قُضِيَتِ
is concluded
ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ
the prayer
فَٱنتَشِرُواۡ
then disperse
فِى
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
the land
وَٱبۡتَغُواۡ
and seek
مِن
from
فَضۡلِ
(the) Bounty
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَٱذۡكُرُواۡ
and remember
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
كَثِيرًا
much
لَّعَلَّكُمۡ
so that you may
تُفۡلِحُونَ
succeed
١٠
And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allāh, and remember Allāh often that you may succeed.
62:11
وَإِذَا
And when
رَأَوۡاۡ
they saw
تِجَـٰرَةً
a transaction
أَوۡ
or
لَهۡوًا
a sport
ٱنفَضُّوٓاۡ
they rushed
إِلَيۡهَا
to it
وَتَرَكُوكَ
and left you
قَآئِمًا‌ۚ
standing
قُلۡ
Say
مَا
What
عِندَ
(is) with
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
خَيۡرٌ
(is) better
مِّنَ
than
ٱللَّهۡوِ
the sport
وَمِنَ
and from
ٱلتِّجَـٰرَةِ‌ۚ
(any) transaction
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
خَيۡرُ
(is the) Best
ٱلرّٰزِقِينَ
(of) the Providers
١١
But [on one occasion] when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muḥammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allāh is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allāh is the best of providers."
63:1
إِذَا
When
جَآءَكَ
come to you
ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ
the hypocrites
قَالُواۡ
they say
نَشۡهَدُ
We testify
إِنَّكَ
that you
لَرَسُولُ
(are) surely (the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ‌ۗ
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
يَعۡلَمُ
knows
إِنَّكَ
that you
لَرَسُولُهُۥ
(are) surely His Messenger
وَٱللَّهُ
and Allah
يَشۡهَدُ
testifies
إِنَّ
that
ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites
لَكَـٰذِبُونَ
(are) surely liars
١
When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muḥammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allāh." And Allāh knows that you are His Messenger, and Allāh testifies that the hypocrites are liars.
63:2
ٱتَّخَذُوٓاۡ
They take
أَيۡمَـٰنَهُمۡ
their oaths
جُنَّةً
(as) a cover
فَصَدُّواۡ
so they turn away
عَن
from
سَبِيلِ
(the) Way
ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ
(of) Allah
إِنَّهُمۡ
Indeed, [they]
سَآءَ
evil is
مَا
what
كَانُواۡ
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
do
٢
They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allāh. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
63:3
ذٰلِكَ
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
(is) because
ءَامَنُواۡ
they believed
ثُمَّ
then
كَفَرُواۡ
they disbelieved
فَطُبِعَ
so were sealed
عَلَىٰ
[upon]
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
their hearts
فَهُمۡ
so they
لَا
(do) not
يَفۡقَهُونَ
understand
٣
That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand.
63:4
۞وَإِذَا
And when
رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
you see them
تُعۡجِبُكَ
pleases you
أَجۡسَامُهُمۡ‌ۖ
their bodies
وَإِن
and if
يَقُولُواۡ
they speak
تَسۡمَعۡ
you listen
لِقَوۡلِهِمۡ‌ۖ
to their speech
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
as if they (were)
خُشُبٌ
pieces of wood
مُّسَنَّدَةٌ‌ۖ
propped up
يَحۡسَبُونَ
They think
كُلَّ
every
صَيۡحَةٍ
shout
عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۚ
(is) against them
هُمُ
They
ٱلۡعَدُوُّ
(are) the enemy
فَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡ‌ۚ
so beware of them
قَـٰتَلَهُمُ
May destroy them
ٱللَّهُ‌ۖ
Allah
أَنَّىٰ
How
يُؤۡفَكُونَ
are they deluded
٤
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up1 - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allāh destroy them; how are they deluded?
63:5
وَإِذَا
And when
قِيلَ
it is said
لَهُمۡ
to them
تَعَالَوۡاۡ
Come
يَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
will ask forgiveness
لَكُمۡ
for you
رَسُولُ
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
لَوَّوۡاۡ
They turn aside
رُءُوسَهُمۡ
their heads
وَرَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
and you see them
يَصُدُّونَ
turning away
وَهُم
while they
مُّسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
(are) arrogant
٥
And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allāh will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant.
63:6
سَوَآءٌ
(It) is same
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
for them
أَسۡتَغۡفَرۡتَ
whether you ask forgiveness
لَهُمۡ
for them
أَمۡ
or
لَمۡ
(do) not
تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
ask forgiveness
لَهُمۡ
for them
لَن
Never
يَغۡفِرَ
will forgive
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
لَهُمۡ‌ۚ
[to] them
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
the people
ٱلۡفَـٰسِقِينَ
the defiantly disobedient
٦
It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allāh forgive them. Indeed, Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
63:7
هُمُ
They
ٱلَّذِينَ
(are) those who
يَقُولُونَ
say
لَا
(Do) not
تُنفِقُواۡ
spend
عَلَىٰ
on
مَنۡ
(those) who
عِندَ
(are) with
رَسُولِ
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَنفَضُّواۡ‌ۗ
they disband
وَلِلَّهِ
And for Allah
خَزَآئِنُ
(are the) treasures
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
but
ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites
لَا
(do) not
يَفۡقَهُونَ
understand
٧
They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allāh until they disband." And to Allāh belong the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand.
63:8
يَقُولُونَ
They say
لَئِن
If
رَّجَعۡنَآ
we return
إِلَى
to
ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ
Al-Madinah
لَيُخۡرِجَنَّ
surely, will expel
ٱلۡأَعَزُّ
the more honorable
مِنۡهَا
from it
ٱلۡأَذَلَّ‌ۚ
the more humble
وَلِلَّهِ
But for Allah
ٱلۡعِزَّةُ
(is) the honor
وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ
and for His Messenger
وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
and for the believers
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
but
ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِينَ
the hypocrites
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
know
٨
They say, "If we return to al-Madīnah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allāh belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
63:9
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
you (who)
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
لَا
(Let) not
تُلۡهِكُمۡ
divert you
أَمۡوٰلُكُمۡ
your wealth
وَلَآ
and not
أَوۡلَـٰدُكُمۡ
your children
عَن
from
ذِكۡرِ
(the) remembrance
ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ
(of) Allah
وَمَن
And whoever
يَفۡعَلۡ
does
ذٰلِكَ
that
فَأُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
then those
هُمُ
[they]
ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ
(are) the losers
٩
O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from the remembrance of Allāh. And whoever does that - then those are the losers.
63:10
وَأَنفِقُواۡ
And spend
مِن
from
مَّا
what
رَزَقۡنَـٰكُم
We have provided you
مِّن
from
قَبۡلِ
before
أَن
[that]
يَأۡتِىَ
comes
أَحَدَكُمُ
(to) one of you
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
the death
فَيَقُولَ
and he says
رَبِّ
My Lord
لَوۡلَآ
Why not
أَخَّرۡتَنِىٓ
You delay me
إِلَىٰٓ
for
أَجَلٍ
a term
قَرِيبٍ
near
فَأَصَّدَّقَ
so I would give charity
وَأَكُن
and be
مِّنَ
among
ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
the righteous
١٠
And spend [in the way of Allāh] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be of the righteous."
63:11
وَلَن
But never
يُؤَخِّرَ
will (be) delayed
ٱللَّهُ
(by) Allah
نَفۡسًا
a soul
إِذَا
when
جَآءَ
has come
أَجَلُهَا‌ۚ
its term
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
خَبِيرُۢ
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
١١
But never will Allāh delay a soul when its time has come. And Allāh is Aware of what you do.
64:1
يُسَبِّحُ
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
[to] Allah
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۖ
the earth
لَهُ
For Him
ٱلۡمُلۡكُ
(is the) dominion
وَلَهُ
and for Him
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ‌ۖ
(is) the praise
وَهُوَ
And He
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىۡءٍ
thing
قَدِيرٌ
All-Powerful
١
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allāh.1 To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs [all] praise, and He is over all things competent.
64:2
هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُمۡ
created you
فَمِنكُمۡ
and among you
كَافِرٌ
(is) a disbeliever
وَمِنكُم
and among you
مُّؤۡمِنٌ‌ۚ
(is) a believer
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
بَصِيرٌ
(is) All-Seer
٢
It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allāh, of what you do, is Seeing.
64:3
خَلَقَ
He created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
with truth
وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ
and He formed you
فَأَحۡسَنَ
and made good
صُوَرَكُمۡ‌ۖ
your forms
وَإِلَيۡهِ
and to Him
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
(is) the final return
٣
He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination.
64:4
يَعۡلَمُ
He knows
مَا
what
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
وَيَعۡلَمُ
and He knows
مَا
what
تُسِرُّونَ
you conceal
وَمَا
and what
تُعۡلِنُونَ‌ۚ
you declare
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
(is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
(is in) the breasts
٤
He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And Allāh is Knowing of that within the breasts.
64:5
أَلَمۡ
Has not
يَأۡتِكُمۡ
come to you
نَبَؤُاۡ
(the) news
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieved
مِن
from
قَبۡلُ
before
فَذَاقُواۡ
So they tasted
وَبَالَ
(the bad) consequence
أَمۡرِهِمۡ
(of) their affair
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌ
painful
٥
Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.
64:6
ذٰلِكَ
That
بِأَنَّهُۥ
(is) because
كَانَت
had
تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ
come to them
رُسُلُهُم
their Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ
with clear proofs
فَقَالُوٓاۡ
but they said
أَبَشَرٌ
Shall human beings
يَهۡدُونَنَا
guide us
فَكَفَرُواۡ
So they disbelieved
وَتَوَلَّواۡ‌ۚ
and turned away
وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى
And can do without them
ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
غَنِىٌّ
(is) Self-sufficient
حَمِيدٌ
Praiseworthy
٦
That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allāh dispensed [with them]; and Allāh is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
64:7
زَعَمَ
Claim
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
كَفَرُوٓاۡ
disbelieve
أَن
that
لَّن
never
يُبۡعَثُواۡ‌ۚ
will they be raised
قُلۡ
Say
بَلَىٰ
Yes
وَرَبِّى
by my Lord
لَتُبۡعَثُنَّ
surely you will be raised
ثُمَّ
then
لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ
surely you will be informed
بِمَا
of what
عَمِلۡتُمۡ‌ۚ
you did
وَذٰلِكَ
And that
عَلَى
for
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
يَسِيرٌ
(is) easy
٧
Those who disbelieve have claimed that they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected; then you will surely be informed of what you did. And that, for Allāh, is easy."
64:8
فَـَٔـامِنُواۡ
So believe
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His Messenger
وَٱلنُّورِ
and the Light
ٱلَّذِىٓ
which
أَنزَلۡنَا‌ۚ
We have sent down
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
خَبِيرٌ
(is) All-Aware
٨
So believe in Allāh and His Messenger and the light [i.e., the Qur’ān] which We have sent down. And Allāh is Aware of what you do.
64:9
يَوۡمَ
(The) Day
يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ
He will assemble you
لِيَوۡمِ
for (the) Day
ٱلۡجَمۡعِ‌ۖ
(of) the Assembly
ذٰلِكَ
that
يَوۡمُ
(will be the) Day
ٱلتَّغَابُنِ‌ۗ
(of) mutual loss and gain
وَمَن
And whoever
يُؤۡمِنۢ
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَيَعۡمَلۡ
and does
