94:1

أَلَمۡ

Have not

نَشۡرَحۡ

We expanded

لَكَ

for you

صَدۡرَكَ

your breast

Did We not expand for you, [O Muḥammad], your breast?¹

94:2

وَوَضَعۡنَا

And We removed

عَنكَ

from you

وِزۡرَكَ

your burden

And We removed from you your burden¹

94:3

ٱلَّذِىٓ

Which

أَنقَضَ

weighed upon

ظَهۡرَكَ

your back

Which had weighed upon your back

94:4

وَرَفَعۡنَا

And We raised high

لَكَ

for you

ذِكۡرَكَ

your reputation

And raised high for you your repute.

94:5

فَإِنَّ

So indeed

مَعَ

with

ٱلۡعُسۡرِ

the hardship

يُسۡرًا

(is) ease

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].

94:6

إِنَّ

Indeed

مَعَ

with

ٱلۡعُسۡرِ

the hardship

يُسۡرًا

(is) ease

Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

94:7

فَإِذَا

So when

فَرَغۡتَ

you have finished

فَٱنصَبۡ

then labor hard

So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].

94:8

وَإِلَىٰ

And to

رَبِّكَ

your Lord

فَٱرۡغَب

turn your attention

And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
