1 Surahs6 Versesركوع 484
60:1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe
لَا
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُواۡ
take
عَدُوِّى
My enemies
وَعَدُوَّكُمۡ
and your enemies
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
(as) allies
تُلۡقُونَ
offering
إِلَيۡهِم
them
بِٱلۡمَوَدَّةِ
love
وَقَدۡ
while
كَفَرُواۡ
they have disbelieved
بِمَا
in what
جَآءَكُم
came to you
مِّنَ
of
ٱلۡحَقِّ
the truth
يُخۡرِجُونَ
driving out
ٱلرَّسُولَ
the Messenger
وَإِيَّاكُمۡ‌ۙ
and yourselves
أَن
because
تُؤۡمِنُواۡ
you believe
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
رَبِّكُمۡ
your Lord
إِن
If
كُنتُمۡ
you
خَرَجۡتُمۡ
come forth
جِهَـٰدًا
(to) strive
فِى
in
سَبِيلِى
My way
وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ
and (to) seek
مَرۡضَاتِى‌ۚ
My Pleasure
تُسِرُّونَ
You confide
إِلَيۡهِم
to them
بِٱلۡمَوَدَّةِ
love
وَأَنَاۡ
but I Am
أَعۡلَمُ
most knowing
بِمَآ
of what
أَخۡفَيۡتُمۡ
you conceal
وَمَآ
and what
أَعۡلَنتُمۡ‌ۚ
you declare
وَمَن
And whoever
يَفۡعَلۡهُ
does it
مِنكُمۡ
among you
فَقَدۡ
then certainly
ضَلَّ
he has strayed
سَوَآءَ
(from the) straight
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
path
١
O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies,1 extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allāh, your Lord. If you have come out for jihād [i.e., fighting or striving] in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection [i.e., instruction], but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
60:2
إِن
If
يَثۡقَفُوكُمۡ
they gain dominance over you
يَكُونُواۡ
they would be
لَكُمۡ
to you
أَعۡدَآءً
enemies
وَيَبۡسُطُوٓاۡ
and extend
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
against you
أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ
their hands
وَأَلۡسِنَتَهُم
and their tongues
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
with evil
وَوَدُّواۡ
and they desire
لَوۡ
that
تَكۡفُرُونَ
you would disbelieve
٢
If they gain dominance over you, they would be [i.e., behave] to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.
60:3
لَن
Never
تَنفَعَكُمۡ
will benefit you
أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ
your relatives
وَلَآ
and not
أَوۡلَـٰدُكُمۡ‌ۚ
your children
يَوۡمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection
يَفۡصِلُ
He will judge
بَيۡنَكُمۡ‌ۚ
between you
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
بَصِيرٌ
(is) All-Seer
٣
Never will your relatives or your children benefit you; the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you. And Allāh, of what you do, is Seeing.
60:4
قَدۡ
Indeed
كَانَتۡ
(there) is
لَكُمۡ
for you
أُسۡوَةٌ
an example
حَسَنَةٌ
good
فِىٓ
in
إِبۡرٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and those
مَعَهُۥٓ
with him
إِذۡ
when
قَالُواۡ
they said
لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ
to their people
إِنَّا
Indeed, we
بُرَءٰٓؤُاۡ
(are) disassociated
مِنكُمۡ
from you
وَمِمَّا
and from what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
you worship
مِن
from
دُونِ
besides
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
كَفَرۡنَا
We have denied
بِكُمۡ
you
وَبَدَا
and has appeared
بَيۡنَنَا
between us
وَبَيۡنَكُمُ
and between you
ٱلۡعَدٰوَةُ
enmity
وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ
and hatred
أَبَدًا
forever
حَتَّىٰ
until
تُؤۡمِنُواۡ
you believe
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَحۡدَهُۥٓ
Alone
إِلَّا
Except
قَوۡلَ
(the) saying
إِبۡرٰهِيمَ
(of) Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
to his father
لَأَسۡتَغۡفِرَنَّ
Surely I ask forgiveness
لَكَ
for you
وَمَآ
but not
أَمۡلِكُ
I have power
لَكَ
for you
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
مِن
of
شَىۡءٍ‌ۖ
anything
رَّبَّنَا
Our Lord
عَلَيۡكَ
upon You
تَوَكَّلۡنَا
we put our trust
وَإِلَيۡكَ
and to You
أَنَبۡنَا
we turn
وَإِلَيۡكَ
and to You
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
(is) the final return
٤
There has already been for you an excellent pattern1 in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allāh. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allāh alone" - except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allāh. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.
60:5
رَبَّنَا
Our Lord
لَا
(do) not
تَجۡعَلۡنَا
make us
فِتۡنَةً
a trial
لِّلَّذِينَ
for those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieve
وَٱغۡفِرۡ
and forgive
لَنَا
us
رَبَّنَآ‌ۖ
our Lord
إِنَّكَ
Indeed You
أَنتَ
[You]
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
(are) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
the All-Wise
٥
Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
60:6
لَقَدۡ
Certainly
كَانَ
(there) is
لَكُمۡ
for you
فِيهِمۡ
in them
أُسۡوَةٌ
an example
حَسَنَةٌ
good
لِّمَن
for (he) who
كَانَ
is
يَرۡجُواۡ
hopeful
ٱللَّهَ
(in) Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
and the Day
ٱلۡأَخِرَ‌ۚ
the Last
وَمَن
And whoever
يَتَوَلَّ
turns away
فَإِنَّ
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
هُوَ
He
ٱلۡغَنِىُّ
(is) Free of need
ٱلۡحَمِيدُ
the Praiseworthy
٦
There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allāh and the Last Day. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allāh is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
