1 Surahs10 Versesركوع 481
59:1
سَبَّحَ
Glorifies
لِلَّهِ
[to] Allah
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
the heavens
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
the earth
وَهُوَ
And He
(is) the All-Mighty
the All-Wise
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allāh,1 and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
59:2
هُوَ
He
(is) the One Who
أَخۡرَجَ
expelled
those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieved
مِنۡ
from
أَهۡلِ
(the) People
(of) the Scripture
مِن
from
their homes
لِأَوَّلِ
at (the) first
gathering
مَا
Not
ظَنَنت ُمۡ
you think
أَن
that
they would leave
وَظَنّ ُوٓ اۡ
and they thought
أَنّ َهُم
that [they]
would defend them
حُصُونُهُم
their fortresses
against
Allah
فَأَتَـٰ هُمُ
But came to them
Allah
مِنۡ
from
حَيۡثُ
where
لَمۡ
not
يَحۡتَسِبُواۡۖ
they expected
وَقَذَفَ
and He cast
فِى
into
قُلُوبِهِمُ
their hearts
[the] terror
يُخۡرِبُونَ
they destroyed
بُيُوتَهُم
their houses
with their hands
وَأَيۡدِى
and the hands
(of) the believers
فَٱ عۡتَبِرُواۡ
So take a lesson
يَـٰٓ أُوۡ لِى
O those endowed
(with) insight
It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture1 from their homes at the first gathering.2 You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allāh; but [the decree of] Allāh came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.
59:3
وَلَوۡلَآ
And if not
أَن
[that]
(had) decreed
Allah
عَلَيۡهِمُ
for them
the exile
لَعَذَّبَهُمۡ
certainly He (would) have punished them
فِى
in
the world
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
فِى
in
the Hereafter
عَذَابُ
(is) a punishment
(of) the Fire
And if not that Allāh had decreed for them evacuation, He would have punished them in [this] world, and for them in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire.
59:4
ذٰ لِكَ
That
بِأَنّ َهُمۡ
(is) because [they]
شَا ٓقُّواۡ
they opposed
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥ ۖ
and His Messenger
وَمَن
And whoever
opposes
Allah
فَإِنّ َ
then indeed
Allah
شَدِيدُ
(is) severe
(in) penalty
That is because they opposed Allāh and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allāh - then indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.
59:5
مَا
Whatever
قَطَعۡتُم
you cut down
of
(the) palm-trees
أَوۡ
or
تَرَكۡتُمُوهَا
you left them
قَا ٓئِمَةً
standing
عَلَىٰٓ
on
أُصُولِهَا
their roots
فَبِإِذۡنِ
it (was) by the permission
(of) Allah
وَلِيُخۡزِىَ
and that He may disgrace
the defiantly disobedient
Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks - it was by permission of Allāh and so He would disgrace the defiantly disobedient.
59:6
وَمَآ
And what
أَفَا ٓءَ
(was) restored
(by) Allah
عَلَىٰ
to
رَسُولِهِۦ
His Messenger
مِنۡهُمۡ
from them
فَمَآ
then not
أَوۡجَفۡتُمۡ
you made expedition
عَلَيۡهِ
for it
مِنۡ
of
خَيۡلٍ
horses
and not
رِكَابٍ
camels
but
Allah
يُسَلِّطُ
gives power
رُسُلَهُۥ
(to) His Messengers
عَلَىٰ
over
مَن
whom
He wills
وَٱ للَّهُ
And Allah
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
كُلِّ
every
شَىۡءٍ
thing
All-Powerful
And what Allāh restored [of property] to His Messenger from them - you did not spur for it [in an expedition] any horses or camels,1 but Allāh gives His messengers power over whom He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.
59:7
مَّآ
What
أَفَا ٓءَ
(was) restored
(by) Allah
عَلَىٰ
to
رَسُولِهِۦ
His Messenger
مِنۡ
from
أَهۡلِ
(the) people
(of) the towns
فَلِلَّهِ
(it is) for Allah
وَلِلرَّسُولِ
and His Messenger
وَلِذِى
and for those
(of) the kindred
وَٱ لۡيَتَـٰ مَىٰ
and the orphans
وَٱ لۡمَسَـٰ كِينِ
and the needy
وَٱ بۡ نِ
and
the wayfarer
كَىۡ
that
لَا
not
يَكُونَ
it becomes
دُولَةَۢ
a (perpetual) circulation
between
the rich
مِنك ُمۡۚ
among you
وَمَآ
And whatever
ءَاتَـٰ كُمُ
gives you
the Messenger
فَخُذُوهُ
take it
وَمَا
and whatever
نَهَـٰ كُمۡ
he forbids you
عَنۡهُ
from it
فَٱ نت َهُواۡۚ
refrain
وَٱ تَّقُواۡ
And fear
Allah
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
شَدِيدُ
(is) severe
(in) penalty
And what Allāh restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allāh and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives1 and orphans and the needy and the [stranded] traveler2 - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.
59:8
لِلۡفُقَرَا ٓءِ
For the poor
emigrants
those who
أُخۡرِجُواۡ
were expelled
مِن
from
their homes
وَأَمۡوٰ لِهِمۡ
and their properties
يَبۡ تَغُونَ
seeking
فَضۡلاً
bounty
from
Allah
وَرِضۡوٰ نًا
and pleasure
and helping
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ
and His Messenger
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
هُمُ
they
(are) the truthful
For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their properties, seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] approval and supporting [the cause of] Allāh and His Messenger, [there is also a share]. Those are the truthful.
59:9
وَٱ لَّذِينَ
And those who
تَبَوَّءُو
settled
(in) the home
وَٱ لۡإِيمَـٰ نَ
and (accepted) faith
مِن
from
before them
يُحِبُّونَ
love
مَنۡ
(those) who
هَاجَرَ
emigrated
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
وَلَا
and not
يَجِدُونَ
they find
فِى
in
صُدُورِهِمۡ
their breasts
حَاجَةً
any want
of what
أُوتُواۡ
they were given
وَيُؤۡثِرُونَ
but prefer
عَلَىٰٓ
over
أَنف ُسِهِمۡ
themselves
وَلَوۡ
even though
كَانَ
was
بِهِمۡ
with them
خَصَاصَةٌۚ
poverty
And whoever
is saved
شُحَّ
(from) stinginess
نَفۡسِهِۦ
(of) his soul
فَأُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
then those
هُمُ
[they]
(are) the successful ones
And [also for] those who were settled in the Home [i.e.,al-Madīnah] and [adopted] the faith before them.1 They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what they [i.e., the emigrants] were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.
59:10
وَٱ لَّذِينَ
And those who
جَا ٓءُو
came
مِنۢ
from
after them
يَقُولُونَ
they say
رَبَّنَا
Our Lord
forgive
لَنَا
us
وَلِإِخۡوٰ نِنَا
and our brothers
who
سَبَقُونَا
preceded us
بِٱ لۡإِيمَـٰ نِ
in faith
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَجۡ عَلۡ
put
فِى
in
قُلُوبِنَا
our hearts
غِلاًّ
any rancor
towards those who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believed
رَبَّنَآ
Our Lord
إِنّ َكَ
indeed You
رَءُوفٌ
(are) Full of Kindness
Most Merciful
And [there is a share for] those who come after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."
