1 Surahs7 Versesركوع 449
48:11
سَيَقُولُ
Will say
لَكَ
to you
ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ
those who remained behind
مِنَ
of
ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ
the Bedouins
شَغَلَتۡنَآ
Kept us busy
أَمۡوٰلُنَا
our properties
وَأَهۡلُونَا
and our families
فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
so ask forgiveness
لَنَا‌ۚ
for us
يَقُولُونَ
They say
بِأَلۡسِنَتِهِم
with their tongues
مَّا
what
لَيۡسَ
is not
فِى
in
قُلُوبِهِمۡ‌ۚ
their hearts
قُلۡ
Say
فَمَن
Then who
يَمۡلِكُ
has power
لَكُم
for you
مِّنَ
against
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
شَيۡــًٔا
(in) anything
إِنۡ
if
أَرَادَ
He intends
بِكُمۡ
for you
ضَرًّا
harm
أَوۡ
or
أَرَادَ
He intends
بِكُمۡ
for you
نَفۡعَۢا‌ۚ
a benefit
بَلۡ
Nay
كَانَ
is
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
بِمَا
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
you do
خَبِيرَۢا
All-Aware
١١
Those who remained behind1 of the bedouins will say to you, "Our properties and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not within their hearts. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He intended for you harm or intended for you benefit? Rather, ever is Allāh, of what you do, Aware.
48:12
بَلۡ
Nay
ظَنَنتُمۡ
you thought
أَن
that
لَّن
(would) never
يَنقَلِبَ
return
ٱلرَّسُولُ
the Messenger
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
and the believers
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَهۡلِيهِمۡ
their families
أَبَدًا
ever
وَزُيِّنَ
that was made fair-seeming
ذٰلِكَ
that was made fair-seeming
فِى
in
قُلُوبِكُمۡ
your hearts
وَظَنَنتُمۡ
And you assumed
ظَنَّ
an assumption
ٱلسَّوۡءِ
evil
وَكُنتُمۡ
and you became
قَوۡمَۢا
a people
بُورًا
ruined
١٢
But you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families, ever, and that was made pleasing in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption of evil and became a people ruined."
48:13
وَمَن
And whoever
لَّمۡ
(has) not believed
يُؤۡمِنۢ
(has) not believed
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
and His Messenger
فَإِنَّآ
then indeed, We
أَعۡتَدۡنَا
[We] have prepared
لِلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ
for the disbelievers
سَعِيرًا
a Blazing Fire
١٣
And whoever has not believed in Allāh and His Messenger - then indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers a Blaze.
48:14
وَلِلَّهِ
And for Allah
مُلۡكُ
(is the) kingdom
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۚ
and the earth
يَغۡفِرُ
He forgives
لِمَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He wills
وَيُعَذِّبُ
and punishes
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ‌ۚ
He wills
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
غَفُورًا
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًا
Most Merciful
١٤
And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
48:15
سَيَقُولُ
Will say
ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ
those who remained behind
إِذَا
when
ٱنطَلَقۡتُمۡ
you set forth
إِلَىٰ
towards
مَغَانِمَ
(the) spoils of war
لِتَأۡخُذُوهَا
to take it
ذَرُونَا
Allow us
نَتَّبِعۡكُمۡ‌ۖ
(to) follow you
يُرِيدُونَ
They wish
أَن
to
يُبَدِّلُواۡ
change
كَلَـٰمَ
(the) Words
ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ
(of) Allah
قُل
Say
لَّن
Never
تَتَّبِعُونَا
will you follow us
كَذٰلِكُمۡ
Thus
قَالَ
Allah said
ٱللَّهُ
Allah said
مِن
before
قَبۡلُ‌ۖ
before
فَسَيَقُولُونَ
Then they will say
بَلۡ
Nay
تَحۡسُدُونَنَا‌ۚ
you envy us
بَلۡ
Nay
كَانُواۡ
they were
لَا
not
يَفۡقَهُونَ
understanding
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلاً
a little
١٥
Those who remained1 behind will say when you set out toward the war booty to take it, "Let us follow you." They wish to change the words of Allāh. Say, "Never will you follow us. Thus did Allāh say before." So they will say, "Rather, you envy us." But [in fact] they were not understanding except a little.2
48:16
قُل
Say
لِّلۡمُخَلَّفِينَ
to those who remained behind
مِنَ
of
ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ
the Bedouins
سَتُدۡعَوۡنَ
You will be called
إِلَىٰ
to
قَوۡمٍ
a people
أُوۡلِى
possessors of military might
بَأۡسٍ
possessors of military might
شَدِيدٍ
great
تُقَـٰتِلُونَهُمۡ
you will fight them
أَوۡ
or
يُسۡلِمُونَ‌ۖ
they will submit
فَإِن
Then if
تُطِيعُواۡ
you obey
يُؤۡتِكُمُ
Allah will give you
ٱللَّهُ
Allah will give you
أَجۡرًا
a reward
حَسَنًا‌ۖ
good
وَإِن
but if
تَتَوَلَّوۡاۡ
you turn away
كَمَا
as
تَوَلَّيۡتُم
you turned away
مِّن
before
قَبۡلُ
before
يُعَذِّبۡكُمۡ
He will punish you
عَذَابًا
(with) a punishment
أَلِيمًا
painful
١٦
Say to those who remained behind of the bedouins, "You will be called to [face] a people of great military might; you may fight them, or they will submit.1 So if you obey, Allāh will give you a good reward; but if you turn away as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment."
48:17
لَّيۡسَ
Not is
عَلَى
upon
ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
the blind
حَرَجٌ
any blame
وَلَا
and not
عَلَى
on
ٱلۡأَعۡرَجِ
the lame
حَرَجٌ
any blame
وَلَا
and not
عَلَى
on
ٱلۡمَرِيضِ
the sick
حَرَجٌ‌ۗ
any blame
وَمَن
And whoever
يُطِعِ
obeys
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥ
and His Messenger
يُدۡخِلۡهُ
He will admit him
جَنَّـٰتٍ
(to) Gardens
تَجۡرِى
flow
مِن
from
تَحۡتِهَا
underneath them
ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ‌ۖ
the rivers
وَمَن
but whoever
يَتَوَلَّ
turns away
يُعَذِّبۡهُ
He will punish him
عَذَابًا
(with) a punishment
أَلِيمًا
painful
١٧
There is not upon the blind any guilt or upon the lame any guilt or upon the ill any guilt [for remaining behind]. And whoever obeys Allāh and His Messenger - He will admit him to gardens beneath which rivers flow; but whoever turns away - He will punish him with a painful punishment.
