Ruku 251

1 Surahs11 Versesركوع 251
17:101
وَلَقَدۡ
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
We had given
مُوسَىٰ
Musa
تِسۡعَ
nine
ءَايَـٰتِۭ
Signs
بَيِّنَـٰتٍ‌ۖ
clear
فَسۡــَٔلۡ
so ask
بَنِىٓ
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرٰٓءِيلَ
(the) Children of Israel
إِذۡ
when
جَآءَهُمۡ
he came to them
فَقَالَ
then said
لَهُۥ
to him
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
Firaun
إِنِّى
Indeed, I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
[I] think you
يَـٰمُوسَىٰ
O Musa
مَسۡحُورًا
(you are) bewitched
١٠١
And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic."
17:102
قَالَ
He said
لَقَدۡ
Verily
عَلِمۡتَ
you have known
مَآ
none
أَنزَلَ
has sent down
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ
these
إِلَّا
except
رَبُّ
(the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
and the earth
بَصَآئِرَ
(as) evidence
وَإِنِّى
and indeed, I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
[I] surely think you
يَـٰفِرۡعَوۡنُ
O Firaun
مَثۡبُورًا
(you are) destroyed
١٠٢
[Moses] said, "You have already known that none has sent down these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and the earth as evidence, and indeed I think,1 O Pharaoh, that you are destroyed."
17:103
فَأَرَادَ
So he intended
أَن
to
يَسۡتَفِزَّهُم
drive them out
مِّنَ
from
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
the land
فَأَغۡرَقۡنَـٰهُ
but We drowned him
وَمَن
and who
مَّعَهُۥ
(were) with him
جَمِيعًا
all
١٠٣
So he intended to drive them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him all together.
17:104
وَقُلۡنَا
And We said
مِنۢ
after him
بَعۡدِهِۦ
after him
لِبَنِىٓ
to the Children of Israel
إِسۡرٰٓءِيلَ
to the Children of Israel
ٱسۡكُنُواۡ
Dwell
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
(in) the land
فَإِذَا
then when
جَآءَ
comes
وَعۡدُ
(the) promise
ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ
(of) the Hereafter
جِئۡنَا
We will bring
بِكُمۡ
you
لَفِيفًا
(as) a mixed crowd
١٠٤
And We said after him [i.e., Pharaoh] to the Children of Israel, "Dwell in the land, and when there comes the promise [i.e., appointment] of the Hereafter, We will bring you forth in [one] gathering."
17:105
وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ
And with the truth
أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ
We sent it down
وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ
and with the truth
نَزَلَ‌ۗ
it descended
وَمَآ
And not
أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ
We sent you
إِلَّا
except
مُبَشِّرًا
(as) a bearer of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرًا
and a warner
١٠٥
And with the truth We have sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
17:106
وَقُرۡءَانًا
And the Quran
فَرَقۡنَـٰهُ
We have divided
لِتَقۡرَأَهُۥ
that you might recite it
عَلَى
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
عَلَىٰ
at
مُكۡثٍ
intervals
وَنَزَّلۡنَـٰهُ
And We have revealed it
تَنزِيلاً
(in) stages
١٠٦
And [it is] a Qur’ān which We have separated [by intervals] that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period. And We have sent it down progressively.
17:107
قُلۡ
Say
ءَامِنُواۡ
Believe
بِهِۦٓ
in it
أَوۡ
or
لَا
(do) not
تُؤۡمِنُوٓاۡ‌ۚ
believe
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
أُوتُواۡ
were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
the knowledge
مِن
before it
قَبۡلِهِۦٓ
before it
إِذَا
when
يُتۡلَىٰ
it is recited
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
to them
يَخِرُّونَ
they fall
لِلۡأَذۡقَانِ
on their faces
سُجَّدًا
(in) prostration
١٠٧
Say, "Believe in it or do not believe." Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it1 - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration,
17:108
وَيَقُولُونَ
And they say
سُبۡحَـٰنَ
Glory be to
رَبِّنَآ
our Lord
إِن
Indeed
كَانَ
is
وَعۡدُ
(the) promise
رَبِّنَا
(of) our Lord
لَمَفۡعُولاً
surely fulfilled
١٠٨
And they say, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled."
17:109
وَيَخِرُّونَ
And they fall
لِلۡأَذۡقَانِ
on their faces
يَبۡكُونَ
weeping
وَيَزِيدُهُمۡ
and it increases them
خُشُوعًا
(in) humility
۩
And they fall upon their faces weeping, and it [i.e., the Qur’ān] increases them in humble submission.
17:110
قُلِ
Say
ٱدۡعُواۡ
Invoke
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
أَوِ
or
ٱدۡعُواۡ
invoke
ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنَ‌ۖ
the Most Gracious
أَيًّا
By whatever (name)
مَّا
By whatever (name)
تَدۡعُواۡ
you invoke
فَلَهُ
to Him (belongs)
ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ
the Most Beautiful Names
ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ‌ۚ
the Most Beautiful Names
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَجۡهَرۡ
be loud
بِصَلَاتِكَ
in your prayers
وَلَا
and not
تُخَافِتۡ
be silent
بِهَا
therein
وَٱبۡتَغِ
but seek
بَيۡنَ
between
ذٰلِكَ
that
سَبِيلاً
a way
١١٠
Say, "Call upon Allāh or call upon the Most Merciful [ar-Raḥmān]. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not recite [too] loudly in your prayer or [too] quietly but seek between that an [intermediate] way.
17:111
وَقُلِ
And say
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
All Praise
لِلَّهِ
(is) for Allah
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who
لَمۡ
has not taken
يَتَّخِذۡ
has not taken
وَلَدًا
a son
وَلَمۡ
and not
يَكُن
is
لَّهُۥ
for Him
شَرِيكٌ
a partner
فِى
in
ٱلۡمُلۡكِ
the dominion
وَلَمۡ
and not
يَكُن
is
لَّهُۥ
for Him
وَلِىٌّ
any protector
مِّنَ
out of
ٱلذُّلِّ‌ۖ
weakness
وَكَبِّرۡهُ
And magnify Him
تَكۡبِيرَۢا
(with all) magnificence
١١١
And say, "Praise to Allāh, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."
