1 Surahs7 Versesركوع 248
17:78
أَقِمِ
Establish
the prayer
لِدُلُوكِ
at the decline
(of) the sun
إِلَىٰ
till
غَسَقِ
(the) darkness
(of) the night
وَقُرۡءَانَ
and Quran
at dawn
إِنّ َ
indeed
قُرۡءَانَ
the Quran
(at) the dawn
كَانَ
is
مَشۡهُودًا
٧٨ever witnessed
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night1 and [also] the Qur’ān [i.e., recitation] of dawn.2 Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.
17:79
وَمِنَ
And from
the night
فَتَهَجَّدۡ
arise from sleep for prayer
بِهِۦ
with it
نَافِلَةً
(as) additional
for you
عَسَىٰٓ
it may be
أَن
that
will raise you
رَبُّكَ
your Lord
مَقَامًا
(to) a station
praiseworthy
And from [part of] the night, pray1 with it [i.e., recitation of the Qur’ān] as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that2 your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.3
17:80
وَقُل
And say
رَّبِّ
My Lord
أَدۡ خِلۡنِى
Cause me to enter
مُدۡ خَلَ
an entrance
صِدۡ قٍ
sound
and cause me to exit
مُخۡرَجَ
an exit
صِدۡ قٍ
sound
and make
لِّى
for me
مِن
from
near You
سُلۡطَـٰ نًا
an authority
helping
And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance1 and to exit a sound exit2 and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority."
17:81
وَقُلۡ
And say
جَا ٓءَ
Has come
the truth
وَزَهَقَ
and perished
the falsehood
إِنّ َ
Indeed
the falsehood
كَانَ
is
زَهُوقًا
٨١(bound) to perish
And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."
17:82
وَنُنَزِّلُ
And We reveal
مِنَ
from
the Quran
مَا
that
هُوَ
it
شِفَا ٓءٌ
(is) a healing
and a mercy
for the believers
وَلَا
but not
يَزِيدُ
it increases
the wrongdoers
إِلَّا
except
خَسَارًا
٨٢(in) loss
And We send down of the Qur’ān that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.
17:83
وَإِذَآ
And when
أَنۡعَمۡنَا
We bestow favor
عَلَى
on
man
أَعۡرَضَ
he turns away
وَنَـَٔـا
and becomes remote
بِجَانِبِهِۦ ۖ
on his side
وَإِذَا
And when
مَسَّهُ
touches him
the evil
كَانَ
he is
يَــُٔوسًا
٨٣(in) despair
And when We bestow favor upon man [i.e., the disbeliever], he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing.
17:84
قُلۡ
Say
كُلٌّ
Each
works
عَلَىٰ
on
شَاكِلَتِهِۦ
his manner
فَرَبُّكُمۡ
but your Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَنۡ
of who
هُوَ
[he]
أَهۡدَىٰ
(is) best guided
سَبِيلاً
٨٤(in) way
Say, "Each works according to his manner, but your Lord is most knowing of who is best guided in way."
