Ruku 22
1 Surahs9 Versesركوع 22
2:168
يَـٰٓ أَيُّهَا
O
mankind
كُلُواۡ
Eat
مِمّ َا
of what
فِى
(is) in
the earth
حَلَـٰ لاً
lawful
(and) good
And (do) not
تَتَّبِعُواۡ
follow
خُطُوٰ تِ
(the) footsteps (of)
the Shaitaan
إِنّ َهُۥ
Indeed, he
لَكُمۡ
(is) to you
عَدُوٌّ
an enemy
clear
O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
2:169
إِنّ َمَا
Only
يَأۡمُرُكُم
he commands you
to (do) the evil
وَٱ لۡفَحۡشَا ٓءِ
and the shameful
وَأَن
and that
you say
عَلَى
about
Allah
مَا
what
لَا
not
تَعۡلَمُو نَ
١٦٩you know
He only orders you to evil and immorality and to say about Allāh what you do not know.
2:170
وَإِذَا
And when
قِيلَ
it is said
لَهُمُ
to them
Follow
مَآ
what
أَنز َلَ
has revealed
Allah
قَالُواۡ
they said
بَلۡ
Nay
نَتَّبِعُ
we follow
مَآ
what
أَلۡفَيۡنَا
we found
عَلَيۡهِ
[on it]
ءَابَا ٓءَنَآۗ
our forefathers (following)
أَوَلَوۡ
Even though
كَانَ
[were]
ءَابَا ٓؤُهُمۡ
their forefathers
لَا
(did) not
يَعۡقِلُونَ
understand
شَيۡــًٔا
anything
and not
يَهۡتَدُو نَ
١٧٠were they guided
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allāh has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?
2:171
وَمَثَلُ
And (the) example
(of) those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieve[d]
كَمَثَلِ
(is) like (the) example
(of) the one who
يَنۡعِقُ
shouts
بِمَا
at what
لَا
not
يَسۡمَعُ
(does) hear
إِلَّا
except
دُعَا ٓءً
calls
and cries
deaf
dumb
عُمۡىٌ
(and) blind
[so] they
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡقِلُو نَ
١٧١understand
The example of those who disbelieve is like that of one who shouts at what hears nothing but calls and cries [i.e., cattle or sheep] - deaf, dumb and blind, so they do not understand.
2:172
يَـٰٓ أَيُّهَا
O you
who
ءَامَنُواۡ
believe[d]
كُلُواۡ
Eat
مِن
from
(the) good
مَا
(of) what
رَزَقۡ نَـٰ كُمۡ
We have provided you
وَٱ شۡكُرُواۡ
and be grateful
لِلَّهِ
to Allah
إِن
if
you
إِيَّاهُ
alone
تَعۡبُدُو نَ
١٧٢worship Him
O you who have believed, eat from the good [i.e., lawful] things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allāh if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.
2:173
إِنّ َمَا
Only
حَرَّمَ
He has forbidden
عَلَيۡكُمُ
to you
the dead animals
وَٱ ل دَّمَ
and [the] blood
وَلَحۡمَ
and flesh
(of) swine
وَمَآ
and what
أُهِلَّ
has been dedicated
بِهِۦ
[with it]
لِغَيۡرِ
to other than
Allah
فَمَنِ
So whoever
(is) forced by necessity
غَيۡرَ
without
بَاغٍ
(being) disobedient
and not
عَادٍ
transgressor
then no
إِثۡمَ
sin
عَلَيۡهِۚ
on him
إِنّ َ
Indeed
Allah
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving
Most Merciful
He has only forbidden to you dead animals,1 blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allāh. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
2:174
إِنّ َ
Indeed
those who
يَكۡتُمُونَ
conceal
مَآ
what
أَنز َلَ
(has) revealed
Allah (has)
مِنَ
of
the Book
وَيَشۡتَرُونَ
and they purchase
بِهِۦ
there with
ثَمَنًا
a gain
little
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
مَا
not
يَأۡكُلُونَ
they eat
فِى
in
بُطُونِهِمۡ
their bellies
إِلَّا
except
the Fire
وَلَا
And not
يُكَلِّمُهُمُ
will speak to them
Allah
يَوۡمَ
(on the) Day
(of) [the] Judgment
وَلَا
and not
يُزَكِّيهِمۡ
will He purify them
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
أَلِي مٌ
١٧٤painful
Indeed, they who conceal what Allāh has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price - those consume not into their bellies except the Fire. And Allāh will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment.
2:175
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
(are) they who
purchase[d]
[the] astraying
بِٱ لۡهُدَىٰ
for [the] Guidance
وَٱ لۡعَذَابَ
and [the] punishment
بِٱ لۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚ
for [the] forgiveness
فَمَآ
So what (is)
أَصۡبَرَهُمۡ
their endurance
عَلَى
on
the Fire
Those are the ones who have exchanged guidance for error and forgiveness for punishment. How patient they are for [i.e., in pursuit of] the Fire!
2:176
ذٰ لِكَ
That
بِأَنّ َ
(is) because
Allah
نَزَّلَ
revealed
the Book
بِٱ لۡحَقِّۗ
with [the] Truth
وَإِنّ َ
And indeed
those
who differed
فِى
in
the Book
لَفِى
(are) surely in
شِقَاقِۭ
schism
far
That is [deserved by them] because Allāh has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.
