1 Surahs11 Versesركوع 168
9:100
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ
And the forerunners
ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ
the first
مِنَ
among
ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ
the emigrants
وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ
and the helpers
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and those who
ٱتَّبَعُوهُم
followed them
بِإِحۡسَـٰنٍ
in righteousness
رَّضِىَ
Allah is pleased
ٱللَّهُ
Allah is pleased
عَنۡهُمۡ
with them
وَرَضُواۡ
and they are pleased
عَنۡهُ
with Him
وَأَعَدَّ
And He has prepared
لَهُمۡ
for them
جَنَّـٰتٍ
Gardens
تَجۡرِى
flows
تَحۡتَهَا
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ
the rivers
خَـٰلِدِينَ
will abide
فِيهَآ
in it
أَبَدًا‌ۚ
forever
ذٰلِكَ
That
ٱلۡفَوۡزُ
(is) the success
ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
the great
١٠٠
And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhājireen1 and the Anṣār2 and those who followed them with good conduct - Allāh is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment.
9:101
وَمِمَّنۡ
And among those
حَوۡلَكُم
around you
مِّنَ
of
ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ
the bedouins
مُنَـٰفِقُونَ‌ۖ
(are) hypocrites
وَمِنۡ
and (also) from
أَهۡلِ
people
ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ‌ۖ
(of) the Madinah
مَرَدُواۡ
They persist
عَلَى
in
ٱلنِّفَاقِ
the hypocrisy
لَا
not
تَعۡلَمُهُمۡ‌ۖ
you know them
نَحۡنُ
We
نَعۡلَمُهُمۡ‌ۚ
[We] know them
سَنُعَذِّبُهُم
We will punish them
مَّرَّتَيۡنِ
twice
ثُمَّ
then
يُرَدُّونَ
they will be returned
إِلَىٰ
to
عَذَابٍ
a punishment
عَظِيمٍ
great
١٠١
And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madīnah. They have persisted in hypocrisy. You, [O Muḥammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.
9:102
وَءَاخَرُونَ
And others
ٱعۡتَرَفُواۡ
(who have) acknowledged
بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ
their sins
خَلَطُواۡ
They had mixed
عَمَلاً
a deed
صَـٰلِحًا
righteous
وَءَاخَرَ
(with) other
سَيِّئًا
(that was) evil
عَسَى
Perhaps
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
أَن
[that]
يَتُوبَ
will turn (in mercy)
عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۚ
to them
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Most Merciful
١٠٢
And [there are] others who have acknowledged their sins. They had mixed [i.e., polluted] a righteous deed with another that was bad.1 Perhaps Allāh will turn to them in forgiveness. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:103
خُذۡ
Take
مِنۡ
from
أَمۡوٰلِهِمۡ
their wealth
صَدَقَةً
a charity
تُطَهِّرُهُمۡ
purifying them
وَتُزَكِّيهِم
and cause them increase
بِهَا
by it
وَصَلِّ
and bless
عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۖ
[upon] them
إِنَّ
Indeed
صَلَوٰتَكَ
your blessings
سَكَنٌ
(are a) reassurance
لَّهُمۡ‌ۗ
for them
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
سَمِيعٌ
(is) All-Hearer
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knower
١٠٣
Take, [O Muḥammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [Allāh's blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
9:104
أَلَمۡ
Do not
يَعۡلَمُوٓاۡ
they know
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
هُوَ
(is) He
يَقۡبَلُ
(Who) accepts
ٱلتَّوۡبَةَ
the repentance
عَنۡ
from
عِبَادِهِۦ
His slaves
وَيَأۡخُذُ
and takes
ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتِ
the charities
وَأَنَّ
and that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
هُوَ
He
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
(is) the Acceptor of repentance
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful
١٠٤
Do they not know that it is Allāh who accepts repentance from His servants and receives charities and that it is Allāh who is the Accepting of Repentance,1 the Merciful?
9:105
وَقُلِ
And say
ٱعۡمَلُواۡ
Do
فَسَيَرَى
then Allah will see
ٱللَّهُ
then Allah will see
عَمَلَكُمۡ
your deed
وَرَسُولُهُۥ
and His Messenger
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ‌ۖ
and the believers
وَسَتُرَدُّونَ
And you will be brought back
إِلَىٰ
to
عَـٰلِمِ
(the) Knower
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ
and the seen
فَيُنَبِّئُكُم
then He will inform you
بِمَا
of what
كُنتُمۡ
you used (to)
تَعۡمَلُونَ
do
١٠٥
And say, "Do [as you will], for Allāh will see your deeds, and [so will] His Messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you of what you used to do."
9:106
وَءَاخَرُونَ
And others
مُرۡجَوۡنَ
deferred
لِأَمۡرِ
for the Command of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
for the Command of Allah
إِمَّا
whether
يُعَذِّبُهُمۡ
He will punish them
وَإِمَّا
or
يَتُوبُ
He will turn (in mercy)
عَلَيۡهِمۡ‌ۗ
to them
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise
١٠٦
And [there are] others deferred until the command of Allāh - whether He will punish them or whether He will forgive them. And Allāh is Knowing and Wise.
9:107
وَٱلَّذِينَ
And those who
ٱتَّخَذُواۡ
take
مَسۡجِدًا
a masjid
ضِرَارًا
(for causing) harm
وَكُفۡرًا
and (for) disbelief
وَتَفۡرِيقَۢا
and (for) division
بَيۡنَ
among
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
the believers
وَإِرۡصَادًا
and (as) a station
لِّمَنۡ
for whoever
حَارَبَ
warred
ٱللَّهَ
(against) Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥ
and His Messenger
مِن
before
قَبۡلُ‌ۚ
before
وَلَيَحۡلِفُنَّ
And surely they will swear
إِنۡ
Not
أَرَدۡنَآ
we wish
إِلَّا
except
ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ‌ۖ
the good
وَٱللَّهُ
But Allah
يَشۡهَدُ
bears witness
إِنَّهُمۡ
indeed, they
لَكَـٰذِبُونَ
(are) surely liars
١٠٧
And [there are] those [hypocrites] who took for themselves a mosque for causing harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a station for whoever had warred against Allāh and His Messenger before. And they will surely swear, "We intended only the best." And Allāh testifies that indeed they are liars.
9:108
لَا
(Do) not
تَقُمۡ
stand
فِيهِ
in it
أَبَدًا‌ۚ
ever
لَّمَسۡجِدٌ
A masjid
أُسِّسَ
founded
عَلَى
on
ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ
the righteousness
مِنۡ
from
أَوَّلِ
(the) first
يَوۡمٍ
day
أَحَقُّ
(is) more worthy
أَن
that
تَقُومَ
you stand
فِيهِ‌ۚ
in it
فِيهِ
Within it
رِجَالٌ
(are) men
يُحِبُّونَ
who love
أَن
to
يَتَطَهَّرُواۡ‌ۚ
purify themselves
وَٱللَّهُ
and Allah
يُحِبُّ
loves
ٱلۡمُطَّهِّرِينَ
the ones who purify themselves
١٠٨
Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day1 is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allāh loves those who purify themselves.
9:109
أَفَمَنۡ
Then is (one) who
أَسَّسَ
founded
بُنۡيَـٰنَهُۥ
his building
عَلَىٰ
on
تَقۡوَىٰ
righteousness
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
وَرِضۡوٰنٍ
and (His) pleasure
خَيۡرٌ
better
أَم
or
مَّنۡ
(one) who
أَسَّسَ
founded
بُنۡيَـٰنَهُۥ
his building
عَلَىٰ
on
شَفَا
edge
جُرُفٍ
(of) a cliff
هَارٍ
(about to) collapse
فَٱنۡهَارَ
so it collapsed
بِهِۦ
with him
فِى
in
نَارِ
(the) Fire
جَهَنَّمَ‌ۗ
(of) Hell
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
the wrongdoing people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoing people
١٠٩
Then is one who laid the foundation of his building on righteousness [with fear] from Allāh and [seeking] His approval better or one who laid the foundation of his building on the edge of a bank about to collapse, so it collapsed with him into the fire of Hell? And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.
9:110
لَا
Not
يَزَالُ
(will) cease
بُنۡيَـٰنُهُمُ
their building
ٱلَّذِى
which
بَنَوۡاۡ
they built
رِيبَةً
a (cause of) doubt
فِى
in
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
their hearts
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
تَقَطَّعَ
(are) cut into pieces
قُلُوبُهُمۡ‌ۗ
their hearts
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
All-Wise
١١٠
Their building which they built will not cease to be a [cause of] skepticism in their hearts until their hearts are cut [i.e., stopped]. And Allāh is Knowing and Wise.
