1 Surahs8 Versesركوع 160
9:30
وَقَالَتِ
And said
ٱلۡيَهُودُ
the Jews
عُزَيۡرٌ
Uzair
ٱبۡنُ
(is) son
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
وَقَالَتِ
And said
ٱلنَّصَـٰرَى
the Christians
ٱلۡمَسِيحُ
Messiah
ٱبۡنُ
(is) son
ٱللَّهِ‌ۖ
(of) Allah
ذٰلِكَ
That
قَوۡلُهُم
(is) their saying
بِأَفۡوٰهِهِمۡ‌ۖ
with their mouths
يُضَـٰهِــُٔونَ
they imitate
قَوۡلَ
the saying
ٱلَّذِينَ
(of) those who
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieved
مِن
before
قَبۡلُ‌ۚ
before
قَـٰتَلَهُمُ
(May) Allah destroy them
ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ
(May) Allah destroy them
أَنَّىٰ
How
يُؤۡفَكُونَ
deluded are they
٣٠
The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allāh"; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allāh." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before [them]. May Allāh destroy them; how are they deluded?
9:31
ٱتَّخَذُوٓاۡ
They have taken
أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ
their rabbis
وَرُهۡبَـٰنَهُمۡ
and their monks
أَرۡبَابًا
(as) Lords
مِّن
besides
دُونِ
besides
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
وَٱلۡمَسِيحَ
and the Messiah
ٱبۡنَ
son
مَرۡيَمَ
(of) Maryam
وَمَآ
And not
أُمِرُوٓاۡ
they were commanded
إِلَّا
except
لِيَعۡبُدُوٓاۡ
that they worship
إِلَـٰهًا
One God
وٰحِدًا‌ۖ
One God
لَّآ
(There) is no
إِلَـٰهَ
god
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ‌ۚ
Him
سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥ
Glory be to Him
عَمَّا
from what
يُشۡرِكُونَ
they associate (with Him)
٣١
They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allāh,1 and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary.2 And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.
9:32
يُرِيدُونَ
They want
أَن
to
يُطۡفِــُٔواۡ
extinguish
نُورَ
Allah's light
ٱللَّهِ
Allah's light
بِأَفۡوٰهِهِمۡ
with their mouths
وَيَأۡبَى
but Allah refuses
ٱللَّهُ
but Allah refuses
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
to
يُتِمَّ
perfect
نُورَهُۥ
His Light
وَلَوۡ
even if
كَرِهَ
the disbelievers dislike (it)
ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ
the disbelievers dislike (it)
٣٢
They want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
9:33
هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِىٓ
(is) the One Who
أَرۡسَلَ
has sent
رَسُولَهُۥ
His Messenger
بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ
with the guidance
وَدِينِ
and the religion
ٱلۡحَقِّ
(of) [the] truth
لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ
to manifest it
عَلَى
over
ٱلدِّينِ
all religions
كُلِّهِۦ
all religions
وَلَوۡ
Even if
كَرِهَ
dislike (it)
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكُونَ
the polytheists
٣٣
It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allāh dislike it.
9:34
۞يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you who believe
ٱلَّذِينَ
O you who believe
ءَامَنُوٓاۡ
O you who believe
إِنَّ
Indeed
كَثِيرًا
many
مِّنَ
of
ٱلۡأَحۡبَارِ
the rabbis
وَٱلرُّهۡبَانِ
and the monks
لَيَأۡكُلُونَ
surely eat
أَمۡوٰلَ
(the) wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
(of) the people
بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ
in falsehood
وَيَصُدُّونَ
and hinder
عَن
from
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ‌ۗ
(of) Allah
وَٱلَّذِينَ
And those who
يَكۡنِزُونَ
hoard
ٱلذَّهَبَ
the gold
وَٱلۡفِضَّةَ
and the silver
وَلَا
and (do) not
يُنفِقُونَهَا
spend it
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
فَبَشِّرۡهُم
[so] give them tidings
بِعَذَابٍ
of a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
painful
٣٤
O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly1 and avert [them] from the way of Allāh. And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allāh - give them tidings of a painful punishment.
9:35
يَوۡمَ
(The) Day
يُحۡمَىٰ
it will be heated [on it]
عَلَيۡهَا
it will be heated [on it]
فِى
in
نَارِ
the Fire
جَهَنَّمَ
(of) Hell
فَتُكۡوَىٰ
and will be branded
بِهَا
with it
جِبَاهُهُمۡ
their foreheads
وَجُنُوبُهُمۡ
and their flanks
وَظُهُورُهُمۡ‌ۖ
and their backs
هَـٰذَا
This
مَا
(is) what
كَنَزۡتُمۡ
you hoarded
لِأَنفُسِكُمۡ
for yourselves
فَذُوقُواۡ
so taste
مَا
what
كُنتُمۡ
you used to
تَكۡنِزُونَ
hoard
٣٥
The Day when it1 will be heated in the fire of Hell and seared therewith will be their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, [it will be said], "This is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you used to hoard."
9:36
إِنَّ
Indeed
عِدَّةَ

(the) ordinance
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
يَوۡمَ
(from the) Day
خَلَقَ
He created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
and the earth
مِنۡهَآ
of them
أَرۡبَعَةٌ
four
حُرُمٌ‌ۚ
(are) sacred
ذٰلِكَ
That
ٱلدِّينُ
(is) the religion
ٱلۡقَيِّمُ‌ۚ
the upright
فَلَا
so (do) not

فِيهِنَّ
therein
أَنفُسَكُمۡ‌ۚ
yourselves
وَقَـٰتِلُواۡ
And fight
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
the polytheists
كَآفَّةً
all together
كَمَا
as
يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمۡ
they fight you
كَآفَّةً‌ۚ
all together
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاۡ
And know
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
مَعَ
(is) with
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
the righteous
٣٦
Indeed, the number of months with Allāh is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allāh [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred.1 That is the correct religion [i.e., way], so do not wrong yourselves during them.2 And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allāh is with the righteous [who fear Him].
9:37
إِنَّمَا
Indeed
ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ

(another) year
لِّيُوَاطِــُٔواۡ
to adjust
عِدَّةَ
the number
مَا
which
حَرَّمَ
Allah has made unlawful
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has made unlawful
فَيُحِلُّواۡ
and making lawful

what
حَرَّمَ
Allah has made unlawful
ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ
Allah has made unlawful

to them
سُوٓءُ
(the) evil
أَعۡمَـٰلِهِمۡ‌ۗ
(of) their deeds
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَهۡدِى
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
the people
ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِينَ
the disbelievers
٣٧
Indeed, the postponing [of restriction within sacred months] is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led [further] astray. They make it1 lawful one year and unlawful another year to correspond to the number made unlawful by Allāh2 and [thus] make lawful what Allāh has made unlawful. Made pleasing to them is the evil of their deeds; and Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people.
