1 Surahs9 Versesركوع 15
2:113
وَقَالَتِ
And said
ٱلۡيَهُودُ
the Jews
لَيۡسَتِ
Not
ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ
the Christians
عَلَىٰ
(are) on
شَىۡءٍ
anything
وَقَالَتِ
and said
ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ
the Christians
لَيۡسَتِ
Not
ٱلۡيَهُودُ
the Jews
عَلَىٰ
(are) on
شَىۡءٍ
anything
وَهُمۡ
although they
يَتۡلُونَ
recite
ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ‌ۗ
the Book
كَذٰلِكَ
Like that
قَالَ
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
know
مِثۡلَ
similar
قَوۡلِهِمۡ‌ۚ
their saying
فَٱللَّهُ
[So] Allah
يَحۡكُمُ
will judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
between them
يَوۡمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ
(of) Resurrection
فِيمَا
in what
كَانُواۡ
they were
فِيهِ
[in it]
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
differing
١١٣
The Jews say, "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus do those who know not [i.e., the polytheists] speak the same as their words. But Allāh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
2:114
وَمَنۡ
And who
أَظۡلَمُ
(is) more unjust
مِمَّن
than (one) who
مَّنَعَ
prevents
مَسَـٰجِدَ
(the) masajid
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
أَن
to
يُذۡكَرَ
be mentioned
فِيهَا
in them
ٱسۡمُهُۥ
His name
وَسَعَىٰ
and strives
فِى
for
خَرَابِهَآ‌ۚ
their destruction
أُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
Those
مَا
Not
كَانَ
it is
لَهُمۡ
for them
أَن
that
يَدۡخُلُوهَآ
they enter them
إِلَّا
except
خَآئِفِينَ‌ۚ
(like) those in fear
لَهُمۡ
For them
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
the world
خِزۡىٌ
(is) disgrace
وَلَهُمۡ
and for them
فِى
in
ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ
the Hereafter
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٌ
great
١١٤
And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allāh from being mentioned [i.e., praised] in His mosques and strive toward their destruction. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and they will have in the Hereafter a great punishment.
2:115
وَلِلَّهِ
And for Allah
ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ
(is) the east
وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُ‌ۚ
and the west
فَأَيۡنَمَا
so wherever
تُوَلُّواۡ
you turn
فَثَمَّ
[so] there
وَجۡهُ
(is the) face
ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ
(of) Allah
إِنَّ
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
وٰسِعٌ
(is) All-Encompassing
عَلِيمٌ
All-Knowing
١١٥
And to Allāh belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face1 of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
2:116
وَقَالُواۡ
And they said
ٱتَّخَذَ
has taken
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
وَلَدًا‌ۗ
a son
سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥ‌ۖ
Glory be to Him
بَل
Nay
لَّهُۥ
for Him
مَا
(is) what
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۖ
and the earth
كُلٌّ
All
لَّهُۥ
to Him
قَـٰنِتُونَ
(are) humbly obedient
١١٦
They say, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He!1 Rather, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are devoutly obedient to Him,
2:117
بَدِيعُ
(The) Originator
ٱلسَّمَـٰوٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۖ
and the earth
وَإِذَا
And when
قَضَىٰٓ
He decrees
أَمۡرًا
a matter
فَإِنَّمَا
[so] only
يَقُولُ
He says
لَهُۥ
to it
كُن
Be
فَيَكُونُ
and it becomes
١١٧
Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
2:118
وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
know
لَوۡلَا
Why not
يُكَلِّمُنَا
speaks to us
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
أَوۡ
or
تَأۡتِينَآ
comes to us
ءَايَةٌ‌ۗ
a sign
كَذٰلِكَ
Like that
قَالَ
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
those
مِن
from
قَبۡلِهِم
before them
مِّثۡلَ
similar
قَوۡلِهِمۡ‌ۘ
their saying
تَشَـٰبَهَتۡ
Became alike
قُلُوبُهُمۡ‌ۗ
their hearts
قَدۡ
Indeed
بَيَّنَّا
We have made clear
ٱلۡأَيَـٰتِ
the signs
لِقَوۡمٍ
for people
يُوقِنُونَ
(who) firmly believe
١١٨
Those who do not know say, "Why does Allāh not speak to us or there come to us a sign?" Thus spoke those before them like their words. Their hearts resemble each other. We have shown clearly the signs to a people who are certain [in faith].
2:119
إِنَّآ
Indeed We
أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ
[We] have sent you
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
with the truth
بَشِيرًا
(as) a bearer of good news
وَنَذِيرًا‌ۖ
and (as) a warner
وَلَا
And not
تُسۡــَٔلُ
you will be asked
عَنۡ
about
أَصۡحَـٰبِ
(the) companions
ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
(of) the blazing Fire
١١٩
Indeed, We have sent you, [O Muḥammad], with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner, and you will not be asked about the companions of Hellfire.
2:120
وَلَن
And never
تَرۡضَىٰ
will be pleased
عَنكَ
with you
ٱلۡيَهُودُ
the Jews
وَلَا
and [not]
ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ
the Christians
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَتَّبِعَ
you follow
مِلَّتَهُمۡ‌ۗ
their religion
قُلۡ
Say
إِنَّ
Indeed
هُدَى
(the) Guidance
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
هُوَ
it
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ‌ۗ
(is) the Guidance
وَلَئِنِ
And if
ٱتَّبَعۡتَ
you follow
أَهۡوَآءَهُم
their desires
بَعۡدَ
after
ٱلَّذِى
what
جَآءَكَ
has come to you
مِنَ
of
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ‌ۙ
the knowledge
مَا
not
لَكَ
for you
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
مِن
any
وَلِىٍّ
protector
وَلَا
and not
نَصِيرٍ
any helper
١٢٠
And never will the Jews and the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allāh is the [only] guidance." If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allāh no protector or helper.
2:121
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those
ءَاتَيۡنَـٰهُمُ
We have given them
ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ
the Book
يَتۡلُونَهُۥ
recite it
حَقَّ
(as it has the) right
تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ
(of) its recitation
أُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
Those (people)
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
believe
بِهِۦ‌ۗ
in it
وَمَن
And whoever
يَكۡفُرۡ
disbelieves
بِهِۦ
in it
فَأُوۡلَـٰٓئِكَ
then those
هُمُ
they
ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ
(are) the losers
١٢١
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital.1 They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers.
