1 Surahs7 Versesركوع 13
2:97
قُلۡ
Say
مَن
Whoever
is
عَدُوًّا
an enemy
to Jibreel
فَإِنّ َهُۥ
then indeed he
نَزَّلَهُۥ
brought it down
عَلَىٰ
on
قَلۡبِكَ
your heart
بِإِذۡنِ
by (the) permission
(of) Allah
مُصَدِّقًا
confirming
what
بَيۡنَ
(was)
يَدَيۡهِ
before it
وَهُدًى
and a guidance
and glad tiding(s)
لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِي نَ
٩٧for the believers
Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who has brought it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down upon your heart, [O Muḥammad], by permission of Allāh, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."
2:98
مَن
Whoever
is
عَدُوًّا
an enemy
(to) Allah
وَمَلَـٰٓ ئِكَتِهِۦ
and His Angels
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
and His Messengers
وَجِبۡ رِيلَ
and Jibreel
وَمِيكَـٰ لَ
and Meekael
فَإِنّ َ
then indeed
Allah
عَدُوٌّ
(is) an enemy
to the disbelievers
Whoever is an enemy to Allāh and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allāh is an enemy to the disbelievers.
2:99
وَلَقَدۡ
And indeed
أَنز َلۡنَآ
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
to you
ءَايَـٰ تِۭ
Verses
clear
and not
يَكۡفُرُ
disbelieves
بِهَآ
in them
إِلَّا
except
the defiantly disobedient
And We have certainly revealed to you verses [which are] clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the defiantly disobedient.
2:100
أَوَكُلَّمَا
And is (it not that) whenever
عَـٰ هَدُواۡ
they took
عَهۡدًا
a covenant
threw it away
فَرِيقٌ
a party
of them
Nay
أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
most of them
لَا
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُو نَ
١٠٠believe
Is it not [true] that every time they took a covenant a party of them threw it away? But, [in fact], most of them do not believe.
2:101
وَلَمّ َا
And when
جَا ٓءَهُمۡ
came to them
رَسُولٌ
a Messenger
(of)
عِند ِ
from
Allah
مُصَدِّقٌ
confirming
what
مَعَهُمۡ
(was) with them
نَبَذَ
threw away
فَرِيقٌ
a party
of
those who
أُوتُواۡ
were given
the Book
كِتَـٰ بَ
(the) Book
(of) Allah
وَرَا ٓءَ
behind
ظُهُورِهِمۡ
their backs
كَأَنّ َهُمۡ
as if they
لَا
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُو نَ
١٠١know
And when a messenger from Allāh came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allāh [i.e., the Torah] behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained].
2:102
وَٱ تَّبَعُواۡ
And they followed
مَا
what
تَتۡلُواۡ
recite(d)
the devils
عَلَىٰ
over
مُلۡكِ
(the) kingdom
سُلَيۡمَـٰ نَۖ
(of) Sulaiman
وَمَا
And not
كَفَرَ
disbelieved
سُلَيۡمَـٰ نُ
Sulaiman
وَلَـٰ كِنّ َ
[and] but
the devils
كَفَرُواۡ
disbelieved
يُعَلِّمُونَ
they teach
the people
[the] magic
وَمَآ
and what
أُنز ِلَ
was sent down
عَلَى
to
the two angels
بِبَابِلَ
in Babylon
هَـٰ رُوتَ
Harut
وَمَـٰ رُوتَۚ
and Marut
وَمَا
And not
يُعَلِّمَانِ
they both teach
مِنۡ
any
أَحَدٍ
one
حَتَّىٰ
unless
يَقُولَآ
they [both] say
إِنّ َمَا
Only
نَحۡنُ
we
فِتۡنَةٌ
(are) a trial
so (do) not
تَكۡفُرۡۖ
disbelieve
فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ
But they learn
مِنۡهُمَا
from those two
مَا
what
يُفَرِّقُونَ
[they] causes separation
بِهِۦ
with it
بَيۡنَ
between
the man
وَزَوۡجِهِۦ ۚ
and his spouse
وَمَا
And not
هُم
they (could)
at all [be those who] harm
بِهِۦ
with it
مِنۡ
any
أَحَدٍ
one
إِلَّا
except
بِإِذۡنِ
by permission
(of) Allah
وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ
And they learn
مَا
what
يَضُرُّهُمۡ
harms them
وَلَا
and not
يَنف َعُهُمۡۚ
profits them
وَلَقَدۡ
And indeed
عَلِمُواۡ
they knew
لَمَنِ
that whoever
buys it
مَا
not
لَهُۥ
for him
فِى
in
the Hereafter
مِنۡ
any
خَلَـٰ قٍۚ
share
And surely evil
مَا
(is) what
شَرَوۡاۡ
they sold
بِهِۦٓ
with it
أَنف ُسَهُمۡۚ
themselves
لَوۡ
if
كَانُواۡ
they were
يَعۡلَمُو نَ
١٠٢(to) know
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Hārūt and Mārūt. But they [i.e., the two angels] do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]."1 And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allāh. And they [i.e., people] learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But they [i.e., the Children of Israel] certainly knew that whoever purchased it [i.e., magic] would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.
2:103
وَلَوۡ
And if
أَنّ َهُمۡ
[that] they
ءَامَنُواۡ
(had) believed
وَٱ تَّقَوۡاۡ
and feared (Allah)
لَمَثُوبَةٌ
surely (the) reward
(of)
عِند ِ
from
Allah
خَيۡرٌۖ
(would have been) better
if
كَانُواۡ
they were
يَعۡلَمُو نَ
١٠٣(to) know
And if they had believed and feared Allāh, then the reward from Allāh would have been [far] better, if they only knew.
