1 Surahs4 Versesركوع 11
2:83
وَإِذۡ
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
We took
مِيثَـٰ قَ
(the) covenant
بَنِىٓ
(from the) Children
إِسۡرٰ ٓءِيلَ
(of) Israel
لَا
Not
تَعۡبُدُونَ
you will worship
إِلَّا
except
Allah
وَبِٱ لۡوٰ لِدَيۡنِ
and with [the] parents
إِحۡسَانًا
(be) good
and (with)
relatives
وَٱ لۡيَتَـٰ مَىٰ
and [the] orphans
وَٱ لۡمَسَـٰ كِينِ
and the needy
وَقُولُواۡ
and speak
لِلنّ َاسِ
to [the] people
حُسۡنًا
good
and establish
the prayer
وَءَاتُواۡ
and give
the zakah
ثُمّ َ
Then
تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ
you turned away
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلاً
a few
of you
وَأَنت ُم
and you (were)
refusing
And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allāh; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakāh." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.
2:84
وَإِذۡ
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
We took
مِيثَـٰ قَكُمۡ
your covenant
لَا
Not
تَسۡفِكُونَ
will you shed
دِمَا ٓءَكُمۡ
your blood
وَلَا
and not
تُخۡرِجُونَ
(will) evict
أَنف ُسَكُم
yourselves
from
your homes
ثُمّ َ
then
أَقۡ رَرۡتُمۡ
you ratified
وَأَنت ُمۡ
while you
تَشۡهَدُو نَ
٨٤(were) witnessing
And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed your [i.e., each other's] blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing.
2:85
ثُمّ َ
Then
أَنت ُمۡ
you
هَـٰٓ ؤُلَا ٓءِ
(are) those
تَقۡ تُلُونَ
(who) kill
أَنف ُسَكُمۡ
yourselves
وَتُخۡرِجُونَ
and evict
فَرِيقًا
a party
of you
from
their homes
تَظَـٰ هَرُونَ
you support one another
عَلَيۡهِم
against them
in sin
وَٱ لۡعُدۡ وٰ نِ
and [the] transgression
وَإِن
And if
they come to you
أُسَـٰ رَىٰ
(as) captives
تُفَـٰ دُوهُمۡ
you ransom them
وَهُوَ
while it
مُحَرَّمٌ
(was) forbidden
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
to you
إِخۡرَاجُهُمۡۚ
their eviction
أَفَتُؤۡمِنُونَ
So do you believe
بِبَعۡضِ
in part (of)
the Book
وَتَكۡفُرُونَ
and disbelieve
بِبَعۡضٍۚ
in part
Then what
جَزَا ٓءُ
(should be the) recompense
مَن
(for the one) who
does
ذٰ لِكَ
that
مِنك ُمۡ
among you
إِلَّا
except
خِزۡىٌ
disgrace
in
the life
(of) the world
وَيَوۡمَ
and (on the) Day
of [the] Resurrection
يُرَدُّونَ
they will be sent back
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أَشَدِّ
(the) most severe
punishment
وَمَا
And not
(is) Allah
بِغَـٰ فِلٍ
unaware
عَمّ َا
of what
تَعۡمَلُو نَ
٨٥you do
Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allāh is not unaware of what you do.
2:86
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
(are) the ones who
bought
the life
(of) the world
بِٱ لۡأَخِرَةِۖ
for the Hereafter
فَلَا
so not
يُخَفَّفُ
will be lightened
عَنۡهُمُ
for them
the punishment
وَلَا
and not
هُمۡ
they
يُنص َرُو نَ
٨٦will be helped
Those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.
