6:61
وَهُوَ
And He
(is) the Subjugator
فَوۡقَ
over
عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ
His slaves
وَيُرۡسِلُ
and He sends
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
over you
حَفَظَةً
guardians
حَتَّىٰٓ
until
إِذَا
when
جَا ٓءَ
comes
أَحَدَكُمُ
(to) anyone of you
the death
تَوَفَّتۡهُ
take him
رُسُلُنَا
Our messengers
وَهُمۡ
and they
لَا
(do) not
يُفَرِّطُو نَ
٦١fail
And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers [i.e., angels of death] take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].
6:62
ثُمّ َ
Then
رُدُّوٓ اۡ
they are returned
إِلَى
to
Allah
مَوۡلَـٰ هُمُ
their Protector
[the] True
أَلَا
Unquestionably
لَهُ
for Him
(is) the judgment
وَهُوَ
And He
أَسۡرَعُ
(is) swiftest
(of) the Reckoners
Then they [i.e., His servants] are returned to Allāh, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants.
6:63
قُلۡ
Say
مَن
Who
saves you
from
darkness[es]
(of) the land
وَٱ لۡبَحۡرِ
and the sea
تَدۡ عُونَهُۥ
you call Him
تَضَرُّعًا
humbly
and secretly
If
أَنج َـٰ نَا
He saves us
مِنۡ
from
هَـٰ ذِهِۦ
this
لَنَكُونَنّ َ
surely we will be
مِنَ
from
the grateful ones
Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.'"
6:64
قُلِ
Say
Allah
يُنَجِّيكُم
saves you
from it
وَمِن
and from
every
كَرۡبٍ
distress
yet
أَنت ُمۡ
you
تُشۡرِكُو نَ
٦٤associate partners (with Allah)
Say, "It is Allāh who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him."
6:65
قُلۡ
Say
هُوَ
He
(is) All-Capable
عَلَىٰٓ
[on]
أَن
to
send
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
upon you
عَذَابًا
punishment
from
above you
أَوۡ
or
مِن
from
beneath
أَرۡجُلِكُمۡ
your feet
أَوۡ
or
يَلۡبِسَكُمۡ
(to) confuse you
شِيَعًا
(into) sects
and make (you) taste
بَعۡضَكُم
some of you
violence
بَعۡضٍۗ
(of) others
See
كَيۡفَ
how
نُصَرِّفُ
We explain
the Signs
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
so that they may
يَفۡقَهُو نَ
٦٥understand
Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects1 and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand.
6:66
وَكَذَّبَ
But denied
بِهِۦ
it
قَوۡمُكَ
your people
وَهُوَ
while it
(is) the truth
قُل
Say
لَّسۡتُ
I am not
عَلَيۡكُم
over you
a manager
But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager [i.e., authority]."
6:67
لِّكُلِّ
For every
نَبَإٍ
news
(is) a fixed time
and soon
تَعۡلَمُو نَ
٦٧you will know
For every news [i.e., happening] is a finality;1 and you are going to know.
6:68
وَإِذَا
And when
رَأَيۡتَ
you see
those who
يَخُوضُونَ
engage (in vain talks)
فِىٓ
about
ءَايَـٰ تِنَا
Our Verses
فَأَعۡرِضۡ
then turn away
عَنۡهُمۡ
from them
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَخُوضُواۡ
they engage
فِى
in
حَدِيثٍ
a talk
غَيۡرِهِۦ ۚ
other than it
وَإِمّ َا
And if
يُنس ِيَنّ َكَ
causes you to forget
the Shaitaan
فَلَا
then (do) not
تَقۡ عُدۡ
sit
بَعۡدَ
after
the reminder
مَعَ
with
the people
the wrongdoers
And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse1 concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.
6:69
وَمَا
And not
عَلَى
(is) on
those who
يَتَّقُونَ
fear (Allah)
مِنۡ
of
حِسَابِهِم
their account
[of]
anything
but
(for) reminder
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
so that they may
يَتَّقُو نَ
٦٩fear (Allah)
And those who fear Allāh are not held accountable for them [i.e., the disbelievers] at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.
6:70
وَذَرِ
And leave
those who
take
دِينَهُمۡ
their religion
لَعِبًا
(as) a play
and amusement
and deluded them
the life
(of) the world
وَذَكِّرۡ
But remind
بِهِۦٓ
with it
أَن
lest

كَسَبَتۡ
it (has) earned
لَيۡسَ
not

مِن
from
besides
Allah
وَلِىٌّ
any protector
and not
شَفِيعٌ
any intercessor
And if
it offers ransom
كُلَّ
every
عَدۡ لٍ

not
يُؤۡخَذۡ
will it be taken
مِنۡهَآۗ
from it
أُوۡ لَـٰٓ ئِكَ
Those
(are) ones who
أُبۡ سِلُواۡ
are given to destruction
بِمَا
for what
كَسَبُواۡۖ
they earned
لَهُمۡ
For them
شَرَابٌ
(will be) a drink
of
حَمِيمٍ
boiling water
and a punishment
أَلِيمُۢ
painful
because
كَانُواۡ
they used to
يَكۡفُرُو نَ
٧٠disbelieve
And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with it [i.e., the Qur’ān], lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allāh no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it [i.e., that soul]. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
